Props to Jason and Shiny Noctowl for bringing these upcoming Trainers to our attention.
They're truly exciting TRAINERS!


Miracle Diamond
Look at all of your face-down Prize cards. You may choose 1 Trainer, Supporter, or Stadium card you find there, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. If you do, put this card as a Prize card face up instead of discarding it.

Mysterious Pearl
Look at all of your face-down Prize cards. You may choose 1 Pokémon you find there, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. If you do, put this card as a Prize card face up instead of discarding it.

Wonder Platinum
Look at all of your face-down Prize cards. You may choose 1 Energy card you find there, show it to your opponent, and put it into your hand. If you do, put this card as a Prize card face up instead of discarding it.

I think it would be fun to hear stories about how one of these Trainers would have saved a game for you this year (if it were released during this past season BRs - Worlds 09)

1. No need for Azelf!
2. No more WHIFFing on a specific Trainer/supporter/or energy card!

These trainers are KINDA HOTT! At least I think so...

Having Mysterious Pearl would've allowed me advance in NATS top cut. (It MAY get me advanced in the NEXT one if they'd ever release these! :lol: )

If these don't release this year, I'm gonna crying right alongside Jason ... lol
 
Have you heard something about these coming to the US? Seeing as how Mysterious Pearl came out in Japan in the spring of 2007, I feel like we'd have gotten them by now if we were getting them at all. There are lots of Japanese promos that just never make it here.
 
I personally would still play Azelf, but MAN I watn Miracle Diamond O:

It's a shame we haven't got these outside of Japan. At this year's Worlds, for the first time ever, our Worlds format was ALMOST the same as Japan's Nationals format had been. Except these three cards. And Mysterious Pearl actually makes a HUGE difference! I heard some Japanese players completely gave up on decks midway through playtesting when they heard Mysterious Pearl, to their surprise, would not be legal at Worlds. Saving the bench space for Azelf is a huge deal for some decks. It's interesting how one card can make such a big difference!

EDIT: The sad thing is that we might get these in the future, but then Spiritomb (PL4) will already be out, and Trainers like these will be harder to use again. :p

Ehh, I agree with Shino. Currently there's no way to get Trainers back, so Miracle Diamond is cool, but I'd still like Azelf over Mysterious Pearl. Azelf you can easily search out, and I don't think I'd wanna play more than one of these Trainers for consistency issues just to cover those risks.
 
Old news, but yeah, great trainers. Of them, only Miracle Diamond offers something useful that Azelf doesn't (Trainer/Supporter instead of a Pokemon), and as Azelf is easily searched out instead of Mysterious Pearl, Miracle Diamond would be fun to use instead.
