Misdreavus tech in Durant

I haven't seen this card being mentioned as a tech in Durant decks. For those who don't know, Misdreavus is a basic 60hp Pokemon that has an attack "Dual Draw", and for :psychic: it states "Each player draws 3 cards". With Durant decks running 4 Prism Energy I think Misdreavus is really splashable and is a good backup plan when you run out of Revives and are otherwise forced to Devour for only 1-2 cards. Eh, even drawing 3 cards for yourself might help you get some valuable resources.

I would like some opinions on whether this card is worth playing in Durant, and whether or not I should play 2 copies? Thanks for your time.:thumb:

Interesting idea, I will have to test it.

i like this idea a lot. good find man. i always liked a spiritomb to make them draw an extra few cards when they have a low hand, but misdreavus is a much better starter. definitely gotta test this out.

Forcing your opponent to draw those last 3 cards at the end of the game when your opponent has tried so hard to KO durants and N into a low hand to keep cards in their deck is definitely something to consider.

The problem this has is that it doesn't disallow recovery.

Durant works by making them discard so they can't recover a lot of their support and set up power.

If you just make them draw the cards, they can potentially win off those cards, or if they have N or PONT or any shuffle draw they can put them back in the deck to stall it out more.

But it could still work, these are just the draw backs it has in comparison

Mismagius Poltergeist tech? Gosh, that sounds awesome, I can see it oneshotting Mewtwo easily. You'll have to play Rainbow energy that way though.

Yeah, I thought about the downsides of having the opponent draw 3 cards too. Usually I use Misdreavus middle-game or late-game, when most of their resources are already Devoured. Also, sacrificing Misdreavus is always better than sacrificing a Durant :)
