Mixing Records - Secret Bases

How do they work??? I don't know, so I would like you guys to tell me before I buy a GB Micro - GBA link cable. Does it work like the Pokemon the trainer has are the Pokemon that the trainer had at the time you mixed records??? How does it work? I'm really confused.

When you mix records with someone their secret base will be somewhere on your game. When you find and go into their base the trainer battles you with the party of pokemon the he/she had at time of mixing records.

and you can reset the bases by mixing records again. thereby enabling you to go through and EV train something to max in a certain stat in about 20 minutes. 10 if you have pokerus and macho brace.

Alright... So lets see...
I have a secret base, and the Pokemon my friend wants to EV train against.
My friend has the same.
We mix.
So now do we have our original with no trainer and the other person's with the trainer? are the levels also the same? Can I have more then just those 1/2 secret bases in my game if I mix more?

The bases I believe must be in different places or they won't mix. The levels of pokemon will be the same of those when mixed. I don't know about your last question. I think it can only be your base and 1 mix, but it is likely I'm wrong.

At the time you mix records, where ever your secret base is in the game, it will appear in the same spot in the game of the person you mixed records with. The Pokemon that each of you have will keep their levels and attacks and will have whatever held items they may have had at the time of the mix (those items cannot are kept if stolen).

If you move your base after mixing records, and mix records again, your base will move to your new location. Also included in the record mix is, any bases that have already been mixed into your game will go into your friend's game and vice versa.

I think that covers it...Hopefully

This is just an assumption since I've found a crap load of bases (probably around 15-20) on my game... But I don't think there's a limit ._.;

So you mean, once you defeat a trainer in the base, you can't battle the trainer until you mix records again?

No you can battle each trainer in a base once a day, but if you mix records again you can battle them repeatedly (mixing records between each battle)

You can save up to 10 Bases while 20 are allowed in the game (if memory serves correctly)
