When Venusaur becomes Mega Venusaur, the flower on the Pokémon's back blooms even more fantastically than before. Its legs and frame become more sturdy to support the weight of the huge flower.

When Charizard becomes Mega Charizard, its pointed horns and long tail give the Pokémon a look of sleek sharpness. Mega Charizard is in a league of its own when it comes to flying prowess, able to reach incredible heights.

The two rocket launchers on Blastoise's shoulders turn into a single huge cannon when it Mega Evolves into Mega Blastoise. This cannon boasts a blast range so great that it can strike targets more than six miles away!

I'm not sure that I can tell a difference between venasaur and mega venasaur. Mega venasaur's tree should have grown much taller, sprouted a tree house, and become infested with primeape that throw pineco at enemies. That would have been mega.

Venasaur doesn't really look any different, and I loathe those things on Charizards arms. IF they'd been flames, alright, but skin flaps? Ew.

At least Blastoise looks sharper!

I think Blastoise looks worse to be honest. Looks like it was designed by a 10-year-old. Charizard at least looks okay, somewhat. Venusaur got a flower on it's head.

There was a sentence in the Nintendo Direct video where, at least it was translated to saying, "I can't wait to see what they all look like" on the topic of Mega forms. Surely not everyone Pokemon has a megaform, or even every fully evolved stage/basic. That'd be a lot of mega forms.

I was thinking if the cannon on his back was not there then he would look better.

Mega Charizard: Ash Ketchum's worst nightmare has become a reality........................

What have they done to the beloved generation-one Pokemon!? Are they mad!? Needless to say, I dislike these concepts.

I honestly like Mega Venusaur. The same cannot easily be said for the other two. Thank goodness it's a temporary fix.

My X and Y team is starting to look like this (at their beginning levels): Fennekin, Bulbasaur, Eevee (Vaporeon), Pancham, Noivern and a wild card.

By the way does it bother anyone else that they're pretty handing us Starters? Used to be you'd have to beat the game, complete the Pokedex, defeat a certain person and/or do whatever else just to get one other Starter. Now it's just like: "Here you go :) Three starters!"

They may be trying to give us other gen Pokemon because they know Pokemon Bank and Poke Transfer won't come out until the end of the year, and people will be missing their past gen Pokemon for a few months.

Venusaur and Blastoise still look somewhat similar to me (despite a bigger flower on Venusaur's back and Blastoise having one cannon). Charizard, though...for a minute, I thought that was a whole new pokemon. I can see a resemblance with the wings and the tail, but the face strikes me as completely different. I still think he looks awesome, just more different than the other two.

Mega Venusaur looks too much like the same, 2 more leaves, a couple of spots, and a flower on its head is lazy design to me. Mega Charizard, while similarly simplistic, does at least look more different (though they really blew a chance to make it part Dragon finally). Mega Blastoise, it's not too bad.

For the abilities, Thick Fat is nice for a tanky Venusaur, but its DW ability (Chlorophyll) combined with Growth in the sun make it far more useful than the mega form. Mega Charizard with Drought though, now that's useful since Ninetales is just too frail, and while Charizard is no prize fighter, it's overall stronger. Will have to wait for what Mega Blastoise's ability does, but I can't help but feel they missed a good chance to give it Drizzle.

Mega Unknown: when you face all 28 Unknown in singles battle at the same time...........

i think that the origanal idea for a larger canon and gauntlets was preety cool but i hate that chin stuble and bent over posture, but im sure that once these get into the tcg, some artists will most likely put it into a much better poise
