Chansey, first edition, holo, base set.
When I was very, very little, my life dream was to be a major league pitcher in baseball. My neighbor, who was pretty much my idol at that time, would always help me practice pitching, though I never could pitch a good strike (don't give me grief, I was like 5) One day, i had been trying for about an hour when I decided to give up for the day. I had previously tried to trade for this chansey, but he had always said it wasn't for trade. He then decided that if I was able to throw him 3 good pitches in a row that he would give it to me. He taught me some more about throwing pitches and then I started trying again. After another hour and a half I finally got 3 good pitches. That card still brings back that memory and for some reason makes me very happy.

this thread was made to look back on memories when you were a kid or at least in the past memories like 2 years ago.
some of these memories was a few months or a year ago.
people if your going to make recent memories please write alot and be very descriptive.
i prefer memories from 2007 and earlier ok.
but no matter what you write 2007 earlier or 2007-now please be descriptive.

1/E Base Shadowless Vulpix.

A prized posession of my first Pokemon card handed to me by my best friend in elementary school. Little did I know that he got me on an addicting collective craze.

I also have one more i forgot to say. It's my base set poliwrath, it was my first stage 2 holo and a base set at that. It made me feel good to get it because for a little bit befor that i was thanking about quitting because i thought that i was just getting ripped off I was buying cards for 6 mounts or so and never gotten a rare like that and then the next day my little borther had got his first stage 2 holo base set pokemon and it was a venusaur i was so envyes that he had tumtped my poliwrath lol but it was all good

Mine would be Salamence from Delta Species. It was the center of my first deck, which got me a top cut in cities. Then I pulled Flygon ex d.:thumb:

YES! YES. YES. YES.
Same for me. First deck was Sally. Got me top in Gym Challenge.

Still my favorite card. Nothing will ever beat it for me.

My favorite card was Dragonite (Fossil) from my first pack... I built my first real deck after building Machamp.
I played it later with Dodrio (Jungle) and Chansey (Base Set) for free retreat and stall. It took me a long time to get a Dratini and a Dragonair since those were uncommons and rares too. But before you could retreat for as long as you wanted, so stall games were very fun.

I'll put a story on mine - Tyranitar with Trample.

My daughter and I were playing a 2 vs. 2 match against and father/son. My daughter and I both played Unown D to block damage to our bench.

The rules back the for 2 vs. 2 was Trample flipped for every Pokemon on the bench - everybody.

We were losing and it was my daughter's turn. This was back in the days of babies. She trampled and knocked out six of our opponents' Pokemon on her turn.

It was awesome.

nothing wrong leaving a Pokemon card, in my grandma's coffin. One day we tried to teach my granmda how to play pokemon, and she threw the card's up in the air. Saying "I hate this game, I quit". There were times when she had no energy cards in her hand and she said "What do you mean I have no energy". Greatest Pokemon game in histly

oh i get it you did it to P' her off from beyonf the grave.you know what im gonna do the same thing.
i showed her a eploud card saying it reminded me of her with hyper voice and some other attck with paralisis im gonna throw a expload card in her grave when she dies.lol

Ok thats a easy one my quilava from the japanese starter deck
My friend went to Japan and got me the deck and it one so many games.

But he was my Fav.

It would be a omen of my attitude toward playing this game what I opened in my very first pack. A first edition super energy removal. My brother opened a first edition charizard. Yah I was jealous, until I learned which one was better.

Suicune Neo 3. I'd been out of Pokemon for a year, because it had been pretty desolate in my area for a little while. My mom heard a commericial on the radio for the local card shop, in which the talked about Pokemon league.

She bought me some packs the day that I got back into the league (Thanksgiving weekend), and I pulled a Suicune. I was sick excited!

In a close second is Hitmonchan BS. One of the great players of old from Memphis, (who left the game for Magic, and iirc, now teaches school) who taught me most of the in's and out's of the game, played Haymaker to death. I wanted to emulate him so badly. Eventually I traded for a hitmonchan, and started copying his deck. Great times.

i have a few

one would have to be charzard from base. Now when i started playing wich was when i was 5 or 6 i didnt know much about the game so i just bought the cards but one card that stood out was a charzard i pulled at the mall and today i still have it and will never trade it becuase of it was the first card i really liked and never let it go so.

secound would be eevee now i love the eeveelutions in general but the base set eevee was the cutest card i had and i had alot of them and ever since ive loved eevee and even when i got out of the game i was so excited to hear they made umbreon and espeon and that kinda got me back into the so i thank eevee for that

now the last would have to be flygon ex d from dragon frontiers now this card was the start of me winning and topping in nearly evry tourny and when i stopped playing it when it got banned i started playing even better so thxs to flygon i am a really good player now =]

I'll have to say Magnezone(s). So many options.

Edit: It's actually a tie between Kingdra EX D and Magnezone, I have an undying love for 'Zone but I topcutted my first tournament ever with Kingdra. Kingdra was also possibly the coolest deck I've ever played.

Kingdra EX DF, coolest card ever. I had my first ever real success at a tournament with that deck, as well as meeting some cool people because I noticed that they were playing it to. Plus, it was so fun to see the look on the other guy's face when they saw that all they could do was 40 damage. =P
