More accurate to call that the 8th print run.
Runs 2 through 7 were identical.
Not sure about the Machamp, but I think it might exist, and with the new foil pattern.
I seem to recall hearing about it.
This print run was released in Europe, not the US, so best to look on that side of the ocean for these cards.

Don't you mean 3 through 7? 2 was the shadowless print, IIRC. Or perhaps I'm getting confused.

champions league promo
masaki mail ins w/the pass card
grand party
Tami-whatever magikarp
get eevee
get porygon
get shiny karp
complete 04 worlds stamped set
EVERY english promo released since Nintendo took over( except worlds cards)
every Japanese shiney and crstal card
complete base 1st ed set
Complete players club set
SO many others!!

And D J, sure, I'm taking offers on my mint illustrator, but until someone ponies up a real offer it's still mine- hence part of our massive collection!

Scott has some nice stuff, but nothing I haven't either owned or passed on. The only promo I have yet to obtain is the #8 promo vs trainer from TMB either 2001 or 2002. Had a chance to buy one several years ago from steven mason, but I wouldn't give him the 2 k he was asking. Really the only Japanese card I want to own- if for no other reason then to finish my Japanese black star set.

Nothing against scotte, but until he buys my illustrator( or gets 1 himself- and good luck with that!) he has the 2nd best collection out there ;)

EDIT: And to all of you who are spreading rumors my illustrator has a crease on it- shame on you! And get your facts right- my illustrator is MINT with NO scratches , creases or dents on it. It was Greylights, he advertised it as mint and he didn't lie!Nearly flawless!

Disagree that Scott should be knocked off the number one spot, but phenomenal news that the illustrator is for sale. I'll spread the word :)

And you had all three no 1, 2 and 3 2002 battle road trainers? and all three ssb trainers? I know you had those pikas, which I missed the no 2 back when mozz had them up.

But I will be on the illustrator soon!

No, I meant what I said. :biggrin:
The Shadowless run is the same print run as 1st Edition.
They printed them at the same time. It's just that some of the cards were stamped and some weren't.
 
This thing is mint Scotte ( ask Clive) and - even in this market- I'm looking to get 5 figures for her. It is at LEAST a psa 9, I can't find a thing wrong with it. Amazing, considering it was given to kids 13 years ago as a prize!! This was Greylights card , and he advertised it as the cleanest one in the world. Since psa has only graded 1, and that was a psa 8, he may be correct.

Of all the Japanese trophy and promo cards, who has one ( that people have actually seen ) besides us? Seriously. And for sale?? Good luck :)

I've seen 2 pr chu's ( have a picture of it with my illustrator, never happen again lol), pretty much everything else. But I have only seen 1 other illustrator, and that one ended up being sold in Japan. I could have had it for $1500. but the guy wouldn't take my check and had to catch a plane to Japan and wouldn't wait for me to hit the atm up. Total crap. He promised to sell it to me when he got back but he sold it over there. Nice.

It's my favorite card. I will be unloading everything I own in the summer to move to Kona with Bert ( once she beats this thing and gets healthy again) to help with the move. EVERYTHING else Scotte, so tell all of your friends ;) You know what we have.

But my Illustrator?! Go big or go home guys ;)

Otherwise I'll keep it. If I am only going to own 1 card I can't think of a better one to own!!
 
Yeah I thought you were getting rid of everything when I was getting that tmb, but maybe in the summer that one will happen :smile:

And I have seen two other illustrators besides yours, well seen I mean know who they were sold to (both in japan). I am aware of how rare they are, I just am not going to be dropping 5 figures on it, I will wait for one in my range. I got the 97 no 1 and no 3 which only 2 copies exist, less than the illustrator.

But I will let you know when I have money in the summer and if its too low thats fine.
