Multi Energy and Ray EX DX

Sorry by this dumb question but I need an official clarification on this.

Does Multi Energy add 20 dmg to Ray EX´s Spiral Blast Attack or not?
Spiral Blast only counts basic energy cards to do damage and Multi is a special energy card.

So, it does add or not?

It only counts Basic cards and Multi is not a Basic.
