Well whadddup all the pokegymer's ;D Im James im a senior and this is my first report i have writtten EVER, so if i do something wrong or say something confusing, correct me. So the tournament today is in Cherry Valley, the league of my freind Collin and his parents and Mike.
The night before i knew i was going to play gyarados, because i had been testing almost every type of gdos build that has been created. I make my last minute chnges the night before.
So i have to wake up early and prepare for the 2 hour drive, shower, get dressed, gather my cards and on my way i go. I get to the event and see not many ppl were there, so i run around collect the cards sleeves etc from my freinds sit down with my freind sam and we do our decklist's. I count and double check make sure my list is good and get ready for rounds/roster to go up, then i look over at the clock and see its about 10:30 ;/ ahh i got all excited cuz there wasnt as much competition but then ALOT more ppl then i thought showed up, but no worries ;D
pairings finally go up, and we start up
Round 1: ?????? w/ gengarplume
I get a great start with a turn 2 gdos swinging for 90, by the time he gets a gengar and plume out im already luxing up his plume and gettting ready to KO' it. I win with a pretty decent prize difference, but GG
so i hear my freind thomas and collin are playing dusknoir ;/ ugh but i keep my head up and hope i just dont play them ;D
Round 2: ?????? w/ steeelix
so this game by far was the hardest game i played all day! he gets a great start with a fast steelix and blissey on the bench, we had a solid prize trade off wit him 1 hittting me and me getting prizes off the bench via lux->poketurn->tail revenge. But i start to fall behind when he has a field of steelix steelix and blisey, but i also see, i only have 2 cards in my deck ;O so i luxray up his blissey, belt uxie and psychic restore, and continue to do that until i have a good enough set up on my bench, i get a few game changing SSU flips and hit all my seekers and twins when i neeed them. it goes down to 2-1 his favor and i can kill his steelix w/ a belt FTW! GG bro, one of the best games ive played in a LONG time
Round 3: ????? w/ Gengar plume
Probably the funnest game all day, the kid was hysterical and made me laugh the whole time! and his little bro also was really funny! basicallly i just got setup, while he had a bad hand and won;D GG bro
Round 4: Noah w/ Gengar Switch
My hand was : 2 pokemon rescue 1 crobat G 1 gdos 2 seeker 1 warp energy, top decks were garbage to, i never got set up. ;/
Round 5: Thomas w/ Dusknoir
He goes first with duskull i start with crobat active and karp on bench BTS + communication + poketurn + collector = donk gg thomas ;/
Top 4: Nathaniel w/ luxchomp
Game one: I think he got a bad start and i got t2 gdos and seekered his bench guy up and KO'ed him ftw
Game two: I get sableye start, and do my impersonate, i drop a uxie and its sprayed ;/ i stilll cant get the t2 so i get t3 he collectors and gets pokemon and passes. I basically steam roll him from there. GG Nathaniel
Top 2: Noah w/ Gengar Switch
Game one: I get a great start and basically out speed his whole deck.
Game two: the start of the game was same as same as the frist one but towards the end he lost zoned my 1-1 gdos and didnt think i had the stuff to get a kapr and dos back to my hand but i did and i tail revenge for 60 FTW,
