Hey, everybody!
I'm a big fan of Magnezone and "broke up" with him 2 weeks ago for 4 solo Azelf starts in a row. Then, I played Kecleon and now I built Zone again, with some changes.
I used to play Metagross LA for his Power can really annoy... if it's heads. At that time, I had Bronzong MT around, for even more draw power, discarding energies needed for Super Connectivity. Used to retreat A LOT with Magnetize.
Then, I made some changes. Bronzong MT for Dialga G and Magnezone DP for Magnezone SF#5. Locking Bodies in my area is kind of mess with everyone around and I was happy with it. XD
After a looooong (and I mean it) time playing this, I decided it was time to give it a rest. I tried Hippowdon, but it wasn't the same. Thought about Cacturne PL with Froslass, but couldn't get my hands on it. Thought about Forretress G and Electrode G with that same Cacturne, but nobody would trade their Galactic Inventions. But then I saw a light. Kecleon was there. A common card with tons of possibilities, just like Magnezone. I enjoyed playing it... until the coins started messing with me. I ended up getting a maximum 1 head out of 3 flips, if that.
You see, that's why I decided to play Zone again. And here's my new list:
Pokémon (19)
3-2-3-1 Magnezone LvX (DP - SF#43 - 1 NDP#32/2 SF#6 - LA)
1-1 Dialga G LvX
1-0-1 Alakazam MT
2-2 Claydol
1 Unown G
1 Azelf
Energies (14)
4 Sp. :metal:
4 Call Energy
4 :lightning
2 :metal:
Trainers (27)
4 Roseanne's Research
4 Bebe's Search
4 Rare Candy
3 Felicity's Drawing
3 Night Maintenance
3 Conductive Quarry
2 Warp Point
2 Night Pokémon Center
1 Luxury Ball
1 Premier Ball
Strategy: This deck revolves around Magnezone as a hard hitter. In order to Super Connectivity, I must have energies on my discard pile. That's where Felicity's and Alakazam come in. Felicity's allows me to discard 1 or 2 cards and draw 3 (if discarded 1) or 4 (if discarded 2), while Alakazam Power Cancels my opponent's Claydol (or any other), while ensuring my Super Connectivity. Magnezone NDP#32 deals 100 damage with Magnet Slash, but I must discard all :lightning attached to it. Being :metal:, I can attach 3 Sp. :metal: to him and only one :lightning and keep discarding 1 for 100, while keeping a "Resistance" to any type. Magnezone SF#6 should get the Level Up, so I can use Gyro Ball for Retreating. Cyber Shock paralyzes when needed, discarding 2, :lightning:metal:, and dealing 80. I don't like to attack with Dialga G. I usually get tails with Remove Lost, wich can be really frustrating.
You must be wondering "Why on Earth does he play Night Pokémon Center?". Well, for 2 reasons:
1) Worked 8 out of 10 times;
2) I can Energy Trans the energies, keeping the energies if it fails.
Now that I explained my deck, I'd like to know your thoughts on this. Positive criticism is always welcome.
Also, I wanted to fit in a Crobat G and 2 PokéTurns. Is there anything I change for this?
Thanks! :thumb:
