Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

National Championships and POP in Europe

Hmm we discussed about the invite matter with our distributor.. the answer was always "Ask PUI"... and PUI answered "Ask your distributor"...

But when we asked to Jarrod for our 2nd placed an invite for Worlds, he said "OK".

And, another odd thing that makes you understand thow distributors and PUI works: Nexus said that PUI didn't want Prerelease in IT because they wanted to boost the localized product sales. When, yesterday, we asked Jarrod, he said that it was Nexus that didn't want to run Prereleases......

And so the it's PUI it's the distributors game goes round and round and all the time official PUI spokesmen (Mr Nack) refers you back to the distributor when that is where the problem is in the first place... except they tell you it is PUI and eventually nothing happens and the game fails ... oh dear

And mozartrules would you be peeved if the took the US bribes to play away?? I suspect a lot of the players would just disappear we don't want parity with the US but consistancy and clarity definitely!

Let´s add to the list:
Belgium 1
Germany 5
Austria 1
Switzerland 2-4 (including a "confidential" SC which was posted on PUI´s international homepage as well as the German ones, but some people seem to be not able to read such things..., don´t know the number of flights at Swiss Nationals, though.)
USA something around 200?

To show, how the structures in different countries differ, here some facts about German Nationals:
66 players
3 flights
Entry fee: 0 Euro.
Prizes for age group winners: 3 displays (one R/S, one SA, one DR, because TA/TM and HL is not available in German language), flight, merchandise package,
Judge staff: 3 professors, paid by Amigo, with proper experience and good rules knowledge.

OP has to be harmonized througout Europe and distributors not willing to do a good job should be penalized by PUI.

A good structure for next year would be in my eyes:
*Every country gets a nationals. Every age group with at least eight players should get at least one flight and at least one invitation without flight. Open for all players, flight only for country residents.
*Something like 10-20 qualifiers throughout Europe. 1-3 flights.Open for all players, flight for everyone.
*European Championships: 2 flights and invitations without flights for every age group. Opne for all players, flights only for european residents.

This would not be par to US, but at least it would be a step in the right direction.

I suggest that we have a Nationals in Each Country for that countries players only with the qualifying criteria being you have a POP id. CC's and regionals could feed into that with byes awarded 1 for a CC 2 for a Regional.

There should then be at least one more chance to qualify and win a trip via Gym/Stadium Challenges and they would be open to all with a POPid. Whatever country they be in. Oh and don't forget to advertise them!

In both cases there should be one covering party to organize and pay for it and I will not see that happening.

As long as there is no obligation to organize this going round and round (ask PUi aks your distributor ask PUI ask etc)

No pins with Jarrod yesterday.... so I will be checking the post .. maybe they'll come with missing State Champions VIP goodies that weren't there either :( , or perhaps they will come with the rest of the Nationals Prizes??
