does swift or faint attack get through the babies rule?
or do i have to flip a coin anyways?

No, you have to flip.
The Baby rule is flipped for before you even begin to attack, so there is no chance for Swift or any attack effect to try to bypass it. It is a rule, not an effect to ignore.
