mods if this is in wrong place please move.

How many people here have been called net-decks? Don't you guys hate when you build a deck and people say you just net-decked it when you built it yourself? Well I was at a battle road this week, and people said i net-decked my deck because i was using luxchomp. I don't even look at the decks here and I never net-deck I love to build my own decks.

Our you guys tired of this? I know I am. I know several other people who don't even go on pokegym, beach, or any of the other ones that got called net-deckers.

I would just want this stuff to end. And pretty sure some of you guys are tired of it too.

Well, as a Rogue player, I cant see exactly where you are coming from, but I understand with the whole "that isnt Rogue crap" sometimes. Most players look at a established archetype as a net deck. Yeah you built the deck, but its not your idea, get me? Thats what bothers alot of other players. You might have added a tech or tweaked the trainer line, but to say it your deck, is a bad assumption. Though it isnt a netdeck either, sense you didnt copy card-for-card. I would just ignore them, and be a confident young man that you are suppose to be. What were those players playing? When you point a finger, you always have 3 pointed right back at you;)

There is a big difference between using lists you find online as guides to making your own, and carbon copying a list you see online. Unfortunately, no one here seems to know that difference v.v

my question here would be, did you win? if so, haters gonna hate.

if they think their decks are original, then they are obviously wrong. there isnt such a thing as an original idea anymore. people say, he created this or she made that deck, but more or less likely they werent the first to make, just the first to do well with it.

i have honestly never had someone call me a net decker or anyone for that matter because there isnt a point to it unless you are claiming that you invented so and so deck, but other than that haters gonna hate.

Even in a format this large (13 sets), there are only so many viable cards and combos. Once distilled, everyone at the top of the pile will be found to have "copied" to some extent.

Tons of people netdecked Luxpluff, but many including myself changed the deck to suit playstyle. When I was done with building Luxpluff I had a 5 card difference from the article. I love original decks, but they just don't cut it.

Not gonna lie, Xui-Cleric, but in your post you come off as a whining netdecker who thinks they deserve credit for their deck. Not saying that's true, but that's how it looks to me. Perhaps reword a bit?

And @ your original question, I have never been called a netdecker, and I still use decks like Jumpluff and Luxchomp. I also try to capitalize on creativity.. If you REALLY hate being called a Netdecker, make your own decks and take them to leaque every once and a while... Cause playing Jumpluff or LG every week gets boring, at least for me.

i only play my serious decks before main events. otherwise at league i build fun stuffs like eevees, blastoise, etc.

You would seriously be surprised that there are a lot of deck ideas that people cant get to work or overlook. Yeah, there are some cards that will never see the light of day in competitive tourneys, but there are a good amount of Rogue play out there, believe me;)

I hate how people are called netdeckers because of an article, like me and my friend tested jumpluff from states and then after i won regs i was called a netdecker of Fulops list but mine was made before he put the article AND it was a few cards off, also the best decks like jumpluff and luxchomp often have very simalar lists so alot of people may look like they net decked it but the deck is just only playable with a certin list.

I would never actually play a deck without reviewing it at least 10 times and making at least 5 fixes. I was a little upset when Fulop posted his article because it would make me look like a netdecker (Lucario-Master and I worked on the same list). Don't take what that guy said seriously, he was just trying to troll you.

Although one time, I was watching a match at Citys 2 years ago, and one guy was playing an Empoleon which he had been working on for a LONG time, his opponent was playing this exact list(It may not have been exact but he had 2 Aerodactyl out). I think that has to be a real netdeck.

I don't know if anyone can be trully original. Someone somewhere is thinking of the same idea, or strategy you're thinking about. All they have to do is look at the card and figure out what works best with it and they've got your deck.

Alot of players also wait untill something tops at a big event, then they'll take that deck and try to win with it. (since it's been proven that it can win) It doesn't matter though. No one should be rattled by someone calling them a net decker. If they do, then they're just jealous of you and your success with the deck.

So the next time they do that, just say thank you mam. (you'll wham and bam them with your deck)

Me, I don't like net deckers. I'm a red face powder player. I come up with my own deck idea and play them and tweek it to make it work right. Thats the way the game should be, not the person who can copy a list and play it. I think or it as cheating. To me, its no different then someone using an Action Replay in a game to get an advantage over someone. Its the samething.

If you ask me, I think all net decks should be banned from events as it kills the spirit of the game.

How would you do that?

Personally I've never really been accused of netdecking, though I was looking forward to going to nats with Gigas and see who tried to call me out on it (lol).

My big thing is when I play rogue decks like Giratina and suddenly tons of Tina decks magically appear...it's not really the same thing, but since I don't like playing in the metagame, it bugs me all the same

Netdeckers _never_ win anything big. Sure, sometimes big winners might get ideas suggested to them that they run with, but usually there's something a little more inspired to a big win than "oh, I swiped X list off of Y website!"

Except for that 07 Nationals thing. Handed the list the night before, sweeps Nats the next day.
