Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Nevada States Report

Ah, don't feel so bad. I think many people run into that kind of situation every now and then. It IS a lot of fun to come up with ideas and decks and play the game, but there are a lot of attitudes and bad things about competitive play that turns people away. The best you can do, if your main goal is just to have fun, is just play the game and try to have the most fun you can. You can still play competitive and have fun, but I think there is a point where you have to accept that you are lowering your chances of doing well by playing more for fun than to win. And the game doesn't end when that happens if you don't want it to. You can still go to tournaments and see your friends and play pokemon and have fun, but you might not always do well and that is just the price you pay by not playing the game with your main goal to win.

I play this game to have fun. I try my best at tournaments, but ultimately, I play to have fun, and I have accepted that. I find enjoyment in reminding my friends who do play competitively how to keep the idea of fun in their heads. And I always have fun, even when I get to the top cut and lose in the first round. And even though I am not winning every game, I see people that lose their mind after not making the top cut, and am happy with my current status. It definitely reduces stress not having to win every game.

So, continue to come up with creative ideas, and continue to play them at tournaments. Have fun, and help others spice up their competitive life with a little fun, and try to enjoy the game as long as it is around.

I c exactly where ur comin from Hatter I've always felt that way, and seeing all those GG decks at my states today(btw check out my thread) it only made it worse.

I agree with Prime. I mean, I usually go 3-2 or whatever at all these tourneys (though I do rarely get Top #, have yet to win), but the game is meant to be played for fun.
