Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Nevada States [updated with all topcut decks!]

I want to thank everyone for coming to our states! I think it was a major success and there were minimal delays. Everything was on schedule the whole day.
I want to thank:
~ultimatedra for agreeing to be the Masters judge when we found out the person could not make it
~DukeFireBird and Shygirl1999 for handling the deck checks with a breeze
~FatKitty for making sure pairings got out on time, and, for being my right hand man..
~Karl for getting the whole tournament organized and giving me the opportunity to be Head Judge
~The players for being patient when we had small delays between rounds
~Spirit of the Game shown by the players in all age groups

It was an honor for me to be the HJ and I sincerely hope that everyone who attended had a great time and will definitely think about returning for next years states!

Thank You,
~Josh

I have contacted the head judge with details on the situation for further review.
I appreciate everyones input and hope that cheating will not be a problem in future events.

Also when I said spectating I did not state standing directly behind players. spectating as in standing a couple steps away from the center of the table. close enough to see player actions but not too close to be able to whisper "advice" to a player.

I do not support cheating in any form. whether it be searching for two cards with bebe search or standing directly behind a player telling him how to play. cheating should not happen and should be penalized to the fullest extent. from what i have read so far amongst these forums it seems as though judging staff across the country can not come to a consensus on specific rules ( such as the thread where a judge ruled that a player was able to return an energy card to his hand because he did not "announce" he was attaching an energy...)

I am simply speaking on behalf of all the players who have been scorn by cheaters. some of these players are children who don't get the same attention to a situation that adults do or, who simply just get pushed aside because they"re not in the "masters division".

I'm all for that Deleg8Zero. Any form of artificial advantage gained outside of the rules should be punished. I hope I speak for all players and judges in saying that the goal of these tournaments is to promote a safe and fair competitive environment. I understand your frustrations, but I feel you are attacking them in the wrong way. I'm glad that you contacted Hatter, but I would recommend you have pulled the judges aside during the games. As far as I'm concerned, promoting a fair top cut is more important than running around in the swiss area. When an unfair cut is going on, judges should prioritize that over part of the swiss, especially if it is a severe problem. When I spot any inconsistency or problem in a game, I'll always whisper to a judge or bother another judge that isn't watching. The judge who was watching the juniors game was trying to get the spectators to step back, but as per her username on the gym, she is somewhat shy. Her commands to step back may have come off as a weak request more than a command. Thank you for pointing this out. I'm sure this will definitely help put some watch on cheating, or at least help our staff here in Nevada improve how they do. If nothing else, your posts will teach us all to watch our opponents.
