New Combos with the new set?

Octillery (Platinum) + Exeggutor (Heartgold/Heart Silver) might be a nice deck to play...

Or maybe Exegguttor (Heartgold Heart Silver) with Electrode (Secret Wonders)...

Raichu looks pretty nice and so does Ampharos...

Clefable HGSS w/ Mesprit LA-attack for scoop up but still...
Slowking HGSS w/anything with "Eruption"-like attacks, like on Camerupt:

Arcanine RR and TyPrime HGSS (might want nidoqueen)
Hypno HGSS+Darkrai G+main attacker of your choice
Blissey Prime+Unown RETURN.

Just look at like half the cards in the set and I'm sure there will be a combo for each one.

What about Ampharos (HGGS) with Flygon (Rising Rivals) and Nidoqueen (Rising Rivals)?

i actually like blissey prime-meganium prime (tank and heal, just got to find a way to get the energy on) and slowking/absol g.

Clefable and anything else, especially Stage 2's. Your opponent has to be able to attack for 80 (100 with Expert Belt) or more to do anything (not including Crobat G and the like) to any Pokemon as Clefable can save an injured Pokemon one turn and itself the next turn. Slow game, but it would shut down most of the SP's.

Clefable + Rhyperior DP.

Flygon Lv.X + Slowking.

Kyogre + Feraligatr Prime.

Plox + Slowking.

Everything with CC energy cost + DCE.

Blissey Prime + Meganium Prime / Energy Link.

Blissey Prime + pretty much every 0/1 energy attacker (Kingdra, Gyarados, Donphan, Rampardos (!)).

You better get those e-belts on asap, Blaziken and Garchomp (SPs featured in practically every SP deck save for maybe Palkia lock) are easily capable of doing 80 dmg T1-T2 and onwards.

Jumpluff+Pichu was a combo that I saw a lot of during pre-release that seems competitive.

Not so much...

Optimum, rare in actual game play set up to optimum, rare in actual game play set up you could just rare candy and tank a turn or 2 with your stage 2 until you pull the belts...

Lol I meant to day T2-T3 and onwards. T1 is indeed rare(level max only i think). T2 happens a considerable amount seeing as you're only one Cyrus away practically from getting all the parts you need to start jet shooting. T3 jet shoots/dragon rush's are practically guarateed barring some kind of awful start.

Its too bad that most fighting SP's are garbage. Promocroak only does good dmg after a KO, which means you'll be doing zilch against that clefable/rhyperior deck.

From my experience in facing those decks, they get the T2 set up about 15-20% of the time and T3 about 80%. While turn two would put you in the hole, turn three is easy enough to manage.

Clefable Rhyperior is good, but the list Hatter posted isn't optimal.
