First is QCP Raichu ex, which is offical confirmation of what we already knew.

I think the Poké-body's going to need some clarification.

Secondly, is a brand new English exclusive Exploud

It's number 3 in the set, so it's going to be holo. Looks pretty playable. That first attack is very nice, and the rest is easily boostable.


Interestingly, Raichu is 97/106. That is very confusing. There is only 1 plausible ex that comes alphabetically after Raichu. IMO, that means that the holo basic energies shall take up the last 6 card slots, and that gives us two that are unknown. Random names from GSSS that fit are Steelix, Tyranitar and Umbreon.

Wow, maybe Nintendo is hinting at what the new format will be. Seems like they are remaking cards out of sets that will be rotated. Gardevior, Raichu EX, Exploud.
 
I think that Raichu is meant to be combo'd with the old one, tho to what extent it will work is completely up in the air. Might work from the bench, who knows?
 
I like the name of the Poke-Body on the Raichu EX. Rai-shield :lol: .

And dang, that is one fine Exploud. 100 to a Pokemon-EX for 2 and a Boost? Add a Strength Charm and you've KO'd a legendary bird. Of course, you only need the Boost to do Rayquaza EX in. I expect this Exploud to see some play (why didn't the one from HL see much, I wonder?).

Wait - if there's an Exploud, does this mean there's going to be a Whismur and a Loudred in this set? More brand-new cards - sweeeeet :thumb: .

those three missing cards might be Regis. I dont know if there are any as player club promos in JPN but I dont think they will be very playable.

YOU havent seen half the cards.
Most people know that it will be made of QCP, emerald tin + some other cards like Exploud.

QCP and Emerald tin had nothing interesting in them (except for Milo).
Only chance of this set being good is having some nice trainer reprints, which probably wont happen

Cacturne ex loooks secksy. as does Camerupt ex and Milotic ex.
 
100 HP stage 1 with a free retreat cost. :eek: The Body is worded strange though. I don't know what it is about it, just seems weird.

Raichu has free retreat! That's major unfair!
Exploud is very Boostable. Another four-attacker. Cool.
Can't wait to see other cards.

exploud looks great, raichu ex, so-so. and i know this set lookks far more promising than FR/LG. FRLG just didnt have it to do well...

and reprint of trainers, thank god....

I don't understand what you all are saying about RaichuEx's Poke-Body. It looks very clear to me. What questions could be brought up from its wording? Or are you saying that it seems that it would simply be worderd differently?

I'm sure it means that, if you have 2 Raichu ex in play, one active and one on the bench, you can't reduce -60 from your opponent's attacks on the active one. They don't "stack." But there were probably a bunch of other ways they could have worded it... XD

And check out the wording of the first attack. "If that Pokemon has Poke-Powers..." It can have more than one now? :eek: :biggrin:

And ugh, return of Exploud... x_X EVIL.
 
Exploud is alright, nothing special. It's very similar to the HL one but it can't do 10 to each pokemon, which is what made the HL one good. =/ Raichu EX looks alright, there is always too much fighting around to be able to use it though. 4 Energy or 1 and 1 boost for just 70, that is kind of low for an ex. 2 Energy to do 30 possibly 50 isn't bad, but I only see Raichu EX being good at the beginning of the game where you can snag Pidgeots in the making, or a Pokemon your opponent's building up. Otherwise later game I don't think Raichu EX can hold up. (you can k.o. Pidgeot later game but it takes 2 hits, Raichu might only be able to take one itself though)
 
Actually I was refering to the interaction between Rai-shield and attacks that hit everything on the field. It reminds me of Dark Amphy. I feel that it should be that each of your Raichu ex in play takes 30 less damage, but only 30 less, although I expect it could be ruled that you have to choose 1 of your Raichu ex to be shielded.
 
Oh, well there's a question I overlooked.
But yeah, going from the wording on Dark Amphy, you are only using ONE RAI-SHIELD Poke-body to reduce damage to EACH Raichu Ex being attacked. Note, that it does not say " You may only use this Poke-Body once per turn" or " You may only use this Poke-Body on one Raichu Ex"something of the like.
So each Raichu Ex you have in play will take the benifit.

are we going to see a complete spoiler for the whole set soon? and trjessie, when was exploud ever good?!? are we getting anymore nrg swarmers like electrike/voltorb/blaz/ metgross/ etc.
 
If the pikachu in the set comes with a rcharge the raichu can be very sick in a zapdos deck becayse if you cant get zappy and pull off raichu you can boost your way for 70 on turn 2. That is just nasty for electric decks. The body also slows down mirror zappy decks from hurting raichu for a ton on turn 2.

As for the exploud all i can say is: @_@ WitW is with that last power. Boost can destroy anything if he has it. Damm,nintendio really made a regional's wothy pokmeon there. To say he is gonna get play is a major understement. As soon as he hits the market players will gobble him up and find many combos to play him in.

I cant wait to see what the set is gonna bring now. :clap:
