Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

New Jersey Marathon

How many were there today? How has the attendance been at these things?

I know Chicago is averaging about 100 right now, and I have not heard how Georgia has been doing numbers-wise, except they have been long.

(Oh, and yes Mike, that means I don't talk to my own kid who is up there. He calls my wife not me...get well soon Diaz!!)

Overall over 100, Masters division had 74 I want to say. 70 something for sure. Really very well run tournament and an extremely competitive atmosphere. Great to be a part of this growing Pokemon community. I'll be back on Friday!

We had 106 today, with 74 in Masters.
Yesterday we had 76 total. That's usually my smallest venue.
Tomorrow is usually my biggest venue, so we'll see what we manage.

Looks like a good article for Burlington.

The following numbers I wrote down from the announcements and therefore may be subject to change due to late adds.

Northfield: 16/14/44. Masters were still playing when I left at around 7pm
West Berlin: 13/19/74. Masters were starting or were into top 2 when I left at 9pm
Burlington: Seniors had top 4 if that is any indication. 77 masters is what I heard. Masters Top 4 had started when I left at 8pm
Howell: 14/17/58. Masters were starting top 2 when I left around 7:30pm

There was a very interesting metagame shift from the first event on Tuesday with Tyram w/Magnezone varients and a few Chandelure and ZPST decks to Thursday featuring a mix of a smaller--but still prominent--number of tyram and ZPST decks (at least 2 of each in top 8) contrasted to an increased number of Chandelure decks and Lanturn decks (but I don't remember either in top cut), and a lot of coke decks (at least 2 in top 8) to Friday which had a lot of coke decks (4 of 5 games I played) and again a few Tyram (the other game I played) and Chandelure. Of course, Durant was running around in there the whole marathon but none made top cut in Masters on Thursday.

Nice article, although "For the first time, 16 of the top winners at the Burlington mall event will be invited to attend the world championship in Waikoloa, Hawaii, in August." If only that were true.

Anyway, managed to attend today's event and it was a lot of fun and is probably my favorite venues out of all of those that I've attended around NYC/NJ. Well done to Lori and everyone else running it, it went really quickly and smoothly. Interesting to note that Durant managed to win both Juniors and Seniors today, and in Seniors, won 2-0 against a Tyram/Magnezone deck. I hate playing against it!

What are you talking about? I got 4th (losing in 3 games in T4) with Durant on Thursday in Masters.
