New Jersey Marathon?

Hey all,

I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about a New Jersey marathon for this year and whether or not there are any plans in the works for it to happen. I'm trying to plan out my Cities and this would obviously be a big part of it.

Any help is appreciated.
 
Yes, there will be one.
We'll be reversing direction. Starting north and winding up in the south.
We may have a couple of CC's in Brooklyn and Long Island held the weekend before Christmas for those that want to have an extended marathon.
 
was that part of the marathon last year?

I know Lori is doing one in North Jersey on 12/27.
 
From what I understand, the marathons all around the country will be held on the same week. That would mean this event will be Dec. 26- Jan. 1. Not sure if that is true or not though.
 
Any news on dates or locations for any NY / NJ tournaments in general? I'd like to plan my schedule accordingly, and with Cities starting this weekend, the soon the better. Thanks!
 
Just a quick note to let you all know that we are doing our mini-marathon for the City Championships again this year.

I'll send out details later, but here are the locations and the dates:

12/27 Thursday: Howell Lanes, Howell NJ
12/28 Friday: All Things Fun!, West Berlin NJ
12/29 Saturday: Burlington Center Mall, Burlington NJ
12/30 Sunday: Jester's Playhouse, Northfield NJ

We're just doing our 4 dates this year. Lori will be running her event sometime before Christmas in mid December. Keep an eye out for her date.
I believe that the NY locations (Queens and LI) will be running their events the weekend before Christmas.
As I said, details to follow, but for those that need to schedule the time, here you go.

From what I've been told the other local cities dates are as follows:
Saturday 12/15: Cedar Grove (TimeWarp Comics)
Sunday 12/16: Randolph (All in One Collectibles)
Saturday 1/5: Nanuet (Toy Wiz)

The cedar grove one is on time warps website and Lori gave me the other two dates herself. (Lori informed me that Nanuet cities is actually Saturday Jan 5th, NOT Sunday Jan 6th. (note change made to my original post)

Are there any hotel discounts available this year? If not, where is everyone staying? I would like to find a hotel that has good location in terms of the Tournements that is also not too expensive.
 
I'm not setting up a specific discount this time around, however, there are a number of hotels in Mt Laurel at the intersection of Rt 73 and I-95/I-295.
It's a good central location that is an hour away at most from the locations. An hour south of Howell, an hour north of Northfield, and 15 minutes away from Burlington and Berlin.

I see a number that are around $50/night, as well as more high end hotels.
Choose one that fits your budget and needs.
