New Forme of Mewtwo/Mew or Mewthree revealed!!!

Pokebeach has just posted has just just posted a video and screen shots of a Forme of Mew or Mewtwo or Mewthree! The Pokemon looks epic! Pokebeach also posted that Pokemon is going to release a new trailer for the movie that will reveal secrets about this new Pokemon! Who else reckons that this new Pokemon/Forme looks incredibly awesome! This is making me so hyped for when the games come out! Any comments on this new Pokemon/Forme? Please share.

I hate pokemon now...

:(

Lol, no but that Newtwo is bad.

Watch the new gameplay video of it that just came out, the video makes Mewthree/ Mewtwo's new forme look incredibly, awesome!!! Unlike other people, I'm really hoping that this IS Mewtwo's new forme.

"But my childhood-!"
I don't the get "My Childhood" argument...
There is probably no one in this world more nostalgic then I. I'm pretty confident in that. I have this wonderfully cherished ability, where no matter how old or how many times I've experienced something. I can still get that "brand new feeling". Like when I look at my Dreamcast. Or how the Dark and Steel types still feel so fresh and interesting every time I play Generation II. So you can trust me when I say this New Pokemon has absolutely no effect on your childhood. You can still pop in Red, Blue, Yellow or Stadium and play as the unstoppable God that was Mewtwo all you want. Or pop in Gold, Silver, Crystal or Stadium 2, and play as the much more stoppable, yet none the less intimidating, version. And I promise you, this new poke will never bother you. It will be like it doesn't even exist.

Clearly it's Mew Zero, the artificially sweetened Pokemon with zero calories.

In any case, I think it looks okay. It'll be interesting to see what it might bring to the table in terms of new moves/abilities.

It looks like Mewtwo and Genesect had a baby...
Probably like Kyurem with Black Kyurem and White Kyurem

Look at the dome on the head.

Personally I like it, and IDC if you all say EWW it is ugly...

Look at Muk or Dugtrio, Magneton, Luvdisc etc...
This design is better.

I pointed this one out before... it's a halo. It's ears are also more like horns.
See what they did there? ;)

Actually I've been thinking that it looked a little like a tiara, which would fit if they're going for a more feminine design. The slender body, the long hair like tentacle, and the rounder eyes.

I like Muk, Dugtrio and Magneton =/ I think their designs are simple and that's what makes them great... so much of this new gen stuff is so complicated and some designs just have too many features. I will give you Luvdisc though because it just looks derpy, or maybe I just favor first gens due to nostalgia lol

I just hope it's not an alternate form and hopefully he ends up being called Mewthree. Next thing you know, they'll name him MewZ

Why?

I know, I know; people like what they like. If you have any particular reason, I'd enjoy knowing, though. For me, calling it "Mewthree" sounds pretty... bad. Like if Marill really had been "Pikablu". "Mewtwo" itself isn't the greatest of names, but it works reasonably well because "Mew" rhymes with "two" (at least in English) and it was the first time this bit was done.

If they do go the "Mewthree" route, I'll get used to it, I am sure. Still better than Munchlax. :frown:

I'd like to challenge that.

Muk is only nasty if the sludge it is made out of is from certain sources. The less "organic" its basis, the less "nasty" it is. Otherwise a large pile of purple goo is pretty harmless and would remind many of us of our childhoods. Any Pokémon trainers (in games or fiction) ever go all "Venom" by wearing a hazardous materials suit and starting the match out inside of his/her Muk?

Dugtrio and Magneton aren't ugly, just a bit lame. I actually blame most of this on the seeming laziness of doing this same thing twice. It actually makes some degree of sense for multiple Magnemite to become some sort of gestalt entity for Magneton, magnetically fusing as part of their power. Done once, this could arguably even be clever. I just think they should have used more of them, forming a more interesting "body" but yeah, that's just probably just me (a Transformers fanboy).

Dugtrio doing the same thing "just because" is what makes both seem lame. Given how often Pokémon especially by now) are depicted hanging out together, saying "these three fuse together just because" yeah, definitely lame. That being said... notice they didn't stick random "kibble" onto the former Digletts that make it up.

Luvdisc seems a reasonably concept; the heart shape isn't too far off some real fish shapes. The execution seems lame to me, though.

Now... what about [DEL]Freeza[/DEL] Mewtwo itself? I've never hated its design, but it really is hard to evaluate because seriously, I see Freeza and am at least a little bit of a Dragon Ball fan. I can justify the "hose" like auxiliary connection between Mewtwo's head and his body, but there are some aspects of Mewtwo (like its chubby fingers) that really only "work" because "...it's Mewtwo!" That is to say, because Mewtwo was given such station in the video games and fiction, a lot of bits that, while perhaps justified as part of artistic vision, still seem a bit silly are not because Mewtwo has been built up for so long.

Of course, it is all in the eye of the beholder; I don't begrudge people for not liking this new reveal, and I get more and more used to it as I see it. Personally, I think it at least looks better than Seaking, and honestly there are several Legendary Pokémon with "cluttered" designs I also like a lot less.

Well, it's just a silly thing that bothers me but when Porygon's final evolution was named PorygonZ instead of Porygon3, pronunciation was the issue for me. I'm from Canada so "Z" is pronounced "Zed" instead of "Zee". So if this Pokemon which will be famous no doubt does get a "Z" attached to the end of its name, I'll definitely be wincing each time someone pronounces his name the American way (even though I guess it would be the correct way).

Agreed.
I mean I don't hate muk, magneton etc but I found their designs a little more plain...

I was both a digimon fan and a pokemon fan growing up, so to me I don't mind all these new, more detailed pokemon, as it somewhat resembles that of another fandom...

This "Mewthree" does look like Frieza... and I don't mind it :)

There will always be complainers when new pokemon come out, but in the end, we will all collect em all!

Perhaps Giovani decided to try to recreat Mewtow- and this one turn out to be a female form.
It could be that gender identity might be an expantion on the X/Y area of the game.
Just a thought is all.......
So, if it is "new"- and possible female form (possible being the key word here)- we could get more "defined" Pokemon with more noticeable appearance for gender differences.

You know how Genesect was created from an extinct bug Pokemon, well they could be a secret story to Mewtwo like imagine if what Team Rocket found wasn't Mew's genes but Mewtwo was actually an extinct Pokemon like Genesect!?!?
Imagine, just like Pokemon Black & White 2, the main Pokemon of the movie, Genesect and Mewtwo, get a new forme?!
They could call the new forms; Genesect Origin Forme and Mewtwo Origin Forme! The reason I brought this up is because other than both Genesect and Mewtwo being created, there's nothing else that links them, so what would happen if they were both once extinct Pokemon with different forms? It also says in Genesect's Pokedex entry, that it was the ultimate hunter, but the ultimate hunter of what? Mewtwo and Genesect could have been having epic battles back then and that's what made them extinct. I know this sounds stupid and probably is but I'm really hoping something like this happens for Mewtwo and Genesect.

^ Ideas never sound "stupid". If that where true, a solution to one's imagination will never be created. You can regect an idea, and that is understandable if you do not get the desired results you are satisfied with.

Here's how I think it'll go down.

Mewtwo DESTROYS Genesect squad.
Plasma gets mad, tries at their own Mew clone.
NewTwo is born. NewTwo vs Mewtwo?

Something along those lines, is what I see happening.

Agreed.
I mean I don't hate muk, magneton etc but I found their designs a little more plain...

A difference in tastes then; what you call "plain" I call "clean". I mean... what should be added to Muk that doesn't tend to go against its own design (living pile of goo)? :thumb:

I was both a digimon fan and a pokemon fan growing up, so to me I don't mind all these new, more detailed pokemon, as it somewhat resembles that of another fandom...

Where as my main grievance with Digimon (which I am fond of, just not to the degree of say Pokémon) has been their "overly detailed" designs; thankfully many Digimon do not suffer from this, but at least for me that became one of the defining differences between the two. I ended up associating clean designs with Pokémon and cluttered designs with Digimon.

It reminds me of my own bad habits while attempting to draw; I never seem to be satisfied with a picture so I'll come back to "tweak" it over and over again... and even if I become satisfied with the core drawing, I feel the need to "add" something... and inevitably ruin the picture (at least with something drawn on the computer, I can go back to an earlier save).

Now, again we are talking about personal tastes in aesthetics, so there isn't truly a "right" and a "wrong" stance; just explaining myself.

This "Mewthree" does look like Frieza... and I don't mind it :)

Mewtwo looks even more like Freeza than this new form, at least to me. Oh, and yes I am using the Japanese spelling so that the other otaku don't hurt me (otherwise I probably wouldn't care). Maybe I should start using the French/Spanish/Portuguese/Italian spelling (Freezer) just to really annoy people?

I want mewtwo to show this new clone why he is mewtwo. I get the feeling mewtwo is going to show his ultimate this movie.
