for the holo pokemon. In jp you can get holos for like 2-3.00 at collectorscache. yes, the ex's are a joke but you dont need ex's for a lot of decks.

pokemon-cards.net I got a whole monarchy deck last year for 40.00
 
i wasn't reffering to Toywiz's few overpriced rares.....their commons and uncommons can go for some good deals.....and i buy their alot......I have't found many problems......

i dont think it matters anyway......

if you want to buy boxes, I'd say either buy boxes of Team Rocket Returns or Deoxys.

Deoxys contains the two main cards for a top deck called Ludicargo. Magcargo(Non Holo Rare) and Ludicolo(Holo)
Team Rocket Returns contains the two main cards for a top deck called Rock Lock. Dark Ampharos(Holo) and Dark Tyrannitar(Non Holo Rare)

Blastoise ex - 129 Dollars?!?!?!? :eek:

Not to mention things like Registeel ex and Articuno ex selling for 49.99!!

A box of Aqua and Magma is 109 Dollars!!!


...You can buy that same Raichu for $14.00 on Collector's Cache. (Blastoise ex ->) But still, 129.99! I feel obligated to contact these people!

This isn't crazy, it's scary.

Well, that's a gamestore then. Collector's Cache sells their boxes for 79.99. (FR/LG anyway. It's $10 less for a box of Rocket Returns. Usually whatever I order comes around the next day. [at
least where I live. {I think I've begun to ramble...oh well.}])

...But it still doesn't make it right to sell a Blastoise ex for $129, or a Raichu for $59. I looked at their singles selection and I found something that made me feel like they didn't know the goods they were handling very well:

They were selling Torchic * as we know it as "Torchic". Now, most websites at least call a
Rayquaza * "Shining Rayquaza". But to imagine that...they don't even sell it!

I'm rambling again, aren't I?

Well, don't even get me started on CardHaus...

UPDATE: I just now looked at this and all I can say is... oh Lord. That is THE most expensive Rayquaza ex I have ever seen.

WTF????!!! THAT IS SO OVERPRICED RAYQUAZA!!! It BURNS my eyes! But anyways back on topic. So you said you have like a million dollars to spend right? So I would buy a Battle Stadium has a Gqardevoir and Blaziken on it Fire Red Starter deck is good would by 2 Wish Maker also good would buy 2 and I would buy 2 TRR boxes and 2 Deoxys booster boxes. Just to get u started.
 
THX for all the adivce I will look for the starters tomarrow when I go to my card shop, anyways the other day I bought 2 James Starter decks (before I saw the reccomending post) but Ill buy more tomarrow. Also what is net decking????? THX

Net decking is checking out the deck section of sites like this and seeing what kinds of decks and cards are being played by folks out there. It gives you an idea of what kinds of cards you need to invest in to be competitive. It will in the long run save time

Alright after looking at prices and the such Ive decided to buy the following to get my started:

1 Team Rocket Returns Booster Box
1 Yugioh Dark Beinnings 2 Booster Box
1 Battle Stadium Two-Player Starter Deck Set
2 Hidden Legends Theme Deck - Wish Maker
2 Fire Red/Leaf Green Theme Deck - Fire Red

Also I have another question: How can I find out where PKMN Tournaments are held in Alabama?THX

I doubt the Yugi Box will help much in Pokemon.

As for tournaments...what part of Alabama are you in? I do not know of any current leagues there, but I do know of some players in the Athens area up north. Tournments are held in Memphis Tn, Chattanooga, TN Jackson Ms, Louisiana, Northern Georgia and Florida....you are surrounded by a lot of great Pokemon areas. If you can find more folks, get a league started in your area and grow it and Pokemon tournaments will come to you.
 
I live in Springville (real close to Birmingham) Since we have a good turn out of people @ the YGO Torunaments at Books A Millions on Satureday (hardly any newbies, pretty decent players) Im thinking about seeing if I could start a PKMN Tournaments on Sundays or something but my friends have pointed out tha ti would probably only attract little kids..... And ideas? Also Im trying to build a Dragtrode deck any help with thta would be great. THX
 
Just go on op.pokemon-tcg.com and then go to find a league near you. After fiddling with your deck a bit and playing a few times at league you know get the hang of the metagame then go on the same site and go to find a tournament near you.

The little kids are what get leagues started in new areas. They are the audience PUI is truly lookng for to play in the game. I know it may seem like a pain to have younger kids, but it has to start somewhere. I promise, once your league is established, many many old school players will hear about the league if you make it known and then they will start showing up to find out what is new and learn that the state of the game is in many ways better than it ever was under WOTC and growing.

There are USED and NEW Pokemoncards, so either a players or collector can meaby find what is needed.

Prices are in Euro's and shipping is much times less expensive than you pay on ebay inside the USA.
I still have to upload TRR and later, no time yet.
For boosterboxes you are better off inside the USA, we have to pay a lot of taxes so no way to beat those prices.
