New player EV questions

1) i played through white 2 and have beaten the main game. Im going to regionals next week and want to EV train my pokemon. The problem im facing is trying to figure out how many EV my pokemon has already accumulated(most of my stronger pokemon were leveled up by EXP farming audinos(+2 HP EV)). I dont know how many audinos were defeated but it was alot. Is there a way to figure out roughly how many EVs my pokemon has

2) ive asked people the easiest way to EV train and most people say buy an action replay. I was under the impression that using cheating devices of your pokemon would make them illegal for competitive battles and would be stupid to spend the time using the AR just to find out my pokemon cant be used

On Point 1, there is no way to tell how many EVs a Pokemon may have had during normal game play without using a external device (Action Replay, Computers) or unofficial software (PokeSAV, PokeGen, IV and EV calculators). You can use Berries to reset EVs on Pokemon stats if they have any in that stat;

Pomeg Berry Lowers HP EVs, raises happiness
Kelpsy Berry Lowers Attack EVs, raises happiness
Qualot Berry Lowers Defense EVs, raises happiness
Hondew Berry Lowers Special Attack EVs, raises happiness
Grepa Berry Lowers Special Defense EVs, raises happiness
Tamato Berry Lowers Speed EVs, raises happiness

The Best thing I can tell you to do is just breed the Pokemon you want to train as that is the easier thing to do. Collecting those Berries would require countless hours on Pokemon Dream World.

On Point 2, many players do use external tools to train their Pokemon. I do not recommend this but Action Replay does not do anything weird to your Pokemon. Most use it as a faster way to train. The game does provide items to help speed up the EV training process so I would just use what the game offers.

Thanks. I figured breeding might be the best way to go. I dont think any of my powerful pokemon(chandelure, beartic, sigilyph and the muskedeers) would be good(except maybe terrakion) in a competitive battle anyway.

I've seen Siggy used quite a bit in VGC play, and Terrakion is a beast.

Do pokemon i catch in the wild have no EV no matter the level. I cant breed a new thundurus but dont know if hes got EV or not.

Wild Pokemon do not have any EV's applied to them, as it is needed to gain battle experiance to earn the EV's.

It gains as many as the Pokemon defeated gives out. EVs are not split between Pokemon. If the Pokemon gains EXP, it gains the full amount of EVs the defeated Pokemon gives.

So in theory patrats would give 1 ev atk to the pokemon that koed it, the pokemon that switched out and any pokemon with exp share.

You don't get the EVs from Candy. Although, once you max out your EVs, Candy is probably the fastest way to make you stronger...

Yeah i meant after the 510 EVs have been earned. Is there a difference between using candy to get to 100 or battling to get to 100

You only need to get to Level 50 so no need to spend time going to 100. Easiest way to find the EVs on your Pokemon is to battle someone online and get a battle video number then upload it to http://vsplayer.pokecheck.org which will give you the full EVs / IVs / etc. of every Pokemon in the battle.

If i catch a pokemon at level 60 and EV train it fully then level it up to 100 will it earn all the stats points it would have if i started EV training at level 1?
