In the japanese Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire logos, it said Pocket Monsters and right underneath it said Pokemon. I just checked my japanese copy of Sapphire and compared it to that logo, and it matches in style.

Oh, and I can read it just fine. "Emuraado" or Emerald.

If you can read Japanese, you can read that. It's almost like having English letters that big, even though it is blurry. No one has had a problem with translating it for me yet.

And yes, it is Pocket Monsters. I just put Pokemon so I wouldn't confuse anyone.
 
More info on Emerald from SPP:

Package is Green and has Rayquaza
Set in Hoenn District, but with differences and new places
RS heroes with new clothes
People sometimes join in to battle against you with someone else on certain routes
Pokémon have Animations Before Battle like in Crystal
The Story Involves Both Team Magma and Team Aqua
The Game is revamped and could be classed as a different game because of this
Both Groudon and Kyogre Appear
Battle Fronteir which has tournements of 7 majo battles exists
Battle Dome has tournements of 3 Pokémon
"Battle Tube" will be seen at Festa this Summer
Compatible with the Gamecube and Wireless Adapter
 
Shadow Lugia-I doubt this will happen but since it's Rayquaza why couldn't it be Team Sky or Team Air? Groudon is a fire and and ground type so that's why there's Team Magma. Kyogre is water so that's why there's Team Aqua. Since there's Rayquaza there should be a team for that. How about Team Dragon?
 
No way, dude. It's not like they did something special for crystal along those lines, now did they? Anyways, Water Blue-NO. There will not be a Water Blue. I'm actually surprised our Leaf Green was not Water Blue, since Green is Japan's blue. =/.

Anyway, has noone thought of the possibility that this might be a DS game? I don't think so but I know that Pokémon Company has stated they have "several pojects coming" for the system. I only know the Pikachu-demo...
 
I seriously doubt Emerald will be a DS Game. It's not like Crystal was an Advance game, now was it? Exactly. They don't make trilogies(RBY, GSC, RSE) go cross platform. Anyways, I heard a rumor about what one of the Pokemon DS games is going to be, but only a rumor...
 
Well, Emerald isn't a DS game. Thats a GBA box pictured, not to mention it says GBA right above it.

Besides, why would a DS game need to use the Wireless Adapter? ;)
 
Hey Dro and Burninating Torchic-First of all I was kidding about the teams. Second of all do you know how to get Deoxys in the Ruby version?

There will be no new team(s). :rolleyes:

I think there is some sort of thing you activate in R/S where you go on to a space ship or something and it comes back down and is infected with a virus, which is Deoxys. Then you capture it and battle it. I could be wrong, but I think that's the basic scenario.
