This is what Im thinking of using for pokemon. Im just not sure what to use for trainer cards and how many energy.

Read the article linked to by Gunwing. That build is awesome! That AMU list is one of the lists that I playtest all of my decks against.

If you are new to the game, I am not sure why you chose this deck to start with. The cards needed are expensive, and the skill level to properly play the combos is very high.

Just make sure to have fun!
 
If you're new to deck building, here's a couple of tips:
1. Use the "Deck Help and Strategy" board and follow the posting the rules.
2. Also, post you're idea of what strategy you're thinking of doing.
3. You always want to have the basic Supporter cards, i.e. Roseanne's Research and Bebe's Search.
4. I actually think a nice Starter Deck would be a good start.

If your just starting I would go with a simpler deck. Try kingdra maybe or look at bullados's flygon if you want something a bit more complicated and competitive.
