I'd cut Ultra Ball and Random Reciever from my testing awhile ago for this reason.

Source is probably the card list from the leaked theme deck. I'm guessing that someone just looked at the bottom of Bulbapedia's "Next Destinies" page and saw Chanellure and Emboar at the bottom and tacked them on. (but didn't notice the other two higher up the list
 
I'd say that because Hydreigon and Zoroark both come after Chandelure (in the new set order), there's a good chance we'll get 4 secret rares.
 
"Meh" and "hot mess"? I don't get it. This is the most exciting set I've seen in the two years we've been playing. Similar to HS and BW, but moreso than either one to have a direct and immediate impact on the entire meta. You can't compare it to Triumphant, that set didn't really get good until later.

If people are setting the bar before HS, then yeah I can't relate. I wasn't around when DP was introduced, which I imagine was pretty exciting too.
 
Yeah, Mewtwo EX will probably dominate the metagame, DCE is legal for another season, Basics get near free-retreat (making Tornadus one of the most powerful attackers in the game), and we get two new AMAZING search cards. Chandelure also gets a new attacker, which is pretty neat.

I'd say this set is decent at best.
 
I'll Give Skyarrow bridge some credit, but I just don't see it being good in anything but Mewtwo/Celebi
DCE is good I guess.
Not sure either of the balls are "amazing" until we get Ultra Ball.
Chandy is good, really looking forward to putting that one in my deck.
Mewtwo is good, but impossibly rare. Starting to think that price tag may've been cheap on T&T. This could hit Luxray levels before States start...
 
I heard the set got an early release, (Bulbapedia tweeted.) If so, I'm dropping everything and going to target RIGHT NOW.

I love this set. Secret reprint Chandelure is cool, love the artwork. I'm definately gonna put them in my Chandy deck.

But it needs moar Infernape. I want another Infernape line even if it's not good.
 
Early rumors I've been hearing have been 2 regular EXs per box and 1-2 FA with the shiny Pokemon taking up the spot of a FA

Diamond Pearls release was terrible imo. I played during the last EX, loved it and dreaded DP. Took a break during that reason and returned after HGSS.

Needless to say, I'm pretty excited for the birds trio to be back.

All of these things are said about every set that comes out.

If you have no expectations however, you can never be disappointed.
 
Fair enough. I don't want to live like that though. I'm getting old enough that have no problem expressing my disappointment (or delight) with something or someone. Often they deserve to know it.

For this next set of 100 pieces of cardboard, arguably it's not worth arguing about (see what I did there?)....I just didn't see how this set is disappointing....was looking for more context. (Except for yet another Outrage Reshiram and Zekrom. Enough already!)
