Hey everyone, I have a recently made deck that involves Zapdos from Next Destinies using a donking method. Observe:

x2 Zapdos Next Des.
x2 Ampharos HG/SS
x2 Flaaffy HG/SS
x2 Mareep COL
x1 Mareep HG/SS
x1 Luxray Next Des.
x1 Luxio Next Des.
x2 Shinx Next Des.
x3 Riachu Next. Des
x3 Pikachu Next Des.
x1 Zekrom B/W
x1 Minun HS Triumphant

Amparos: It's main purpose is to supply Energy to my other guys, as well as itself, if neccisary.
Luxray: He's here as a good, fast hitter, and can also fuel Zekroms' Outrage.
Raichu: An OK stall and hitter.
Zekrom: Put in to gain benefit from Luxray's Flash Impact. Also a decent tank.
Minun: An awesome starter, as Call for Family can summon Zekrom, Zapdos, and other lower guys.

Trainers:

x2 Super Scoop Up
x2 N
x2 Pokemon Center
x2 Energy Switch
x3 Energy Search
x1 Pokemon Circulator
x1 Energy Returner
x1 Rare Candy
x2 Life Herb

Super Scoop Up: Mainly for Zekrom and Zapdos, recovering Damage.
N: A good game starter when i don't have a hand that's worth it. By the way, who names their kid N?
PKMN Center: If I slip, this thing tricks me back up. I can't really explain it, it just helps.
Energy Switch: This deck needs Energy everywhere, so this is an OK pic.
Energy Search: When all else (or Ampharos) fails, Energy Search comes in.
PKMN Circulator: Comes in handy in times of distress.
Energy Returner: Zapdos usually discards 3-4 Energy when it rarely goes down, so this can refuel the deck.
Rare Candy: Mostly for Luxray, as I only have one Luxio and two Shinx.

Energy:
x19 Electric Energy
x4 Double Colorless Energy

I want any opinions that anyone has! I really think this deck could be great with another opinion's help.
It's modified for now, but not for too long.

A couple things wrong i see with your list. You are running two stage 2's, with a very thin line with both.
#2 is those stage two's can be one shotted by the upcoming ex's easily. You are also only running 1 Rare Candy with 2 stage 2's.
Another thing is you have 23 energy, i never run more than 13 in a deck. just some things to think about

Two ways to go about this post:

If you want this deck to stand up to top decks, you'll need major changes. I assume, however, that this is more of a league deck and will judge it as such.

Zapdos is good and all but I think you need more of it and more zekrom.I assume your strategy is to use ampharos to build up energy and then abuse it; so I suggest that you play more ampharos, more rare candy, and replace energy switch with Shaymin from Unleashed if you have it. Replace Energy Returner with energy retrieval; and add in some Eelektriks. You also need some Switch, but you can take out Life Herb.

In short, if you don't have many cards, just focus on trading for more ampharos/luxray (people will trade them for very cheap, probably <$1) and slowly take cards out to add in 'better' alternatives as you can afford them. At this point you will want to invest in supporters and trainers like Sages Training and Professor Oak's New Theory. Eelektrik is a very cheap pokemon and you should try to put 3-3 in: Possibly taking out the 3-3 raichu line.

Ok guys, thanks for all the advice. I'm going to League today, so I can try to get Elektric, More Zapdos, ect.

@Glaceon I donk with Zapdos's Random Spark.

I replaced Raichu with x2 Dynamotor Eelektrik , x3 Tynamo, and another Flaaffy. I also replaced 4 Electric Energy with 3 more Minun and another Zekrom.

I don't see how Random Spark can be an effective as a donking method. It takes, at minimum, two turns in order to donk your opponent. This means that if your opponent can drop the Pokemon Collector or some other way to get out more Basic Pokemon on to his or her Bench, you lost your donk. On top of that, Zapdos only does 50 damage. That's only going to Knock Out a few things in this format.

I'm not seeing Minun at all. You're better off running something like Dual Ball or Pokemon Collector, since it doesn't waste your attack for the turn.

Pretty much, you're going to need to improve the consistency of this deck. You're running very thin lines of Pokemon, some of which I don't see to be very important. Cards such as Luxray, for example, while it does put damage on to your Zekrom for Outrage, could be better used for more Zekrom, another Eelektrik, and more draw cards. Zekrom can put damage on itself with Bolt Strike.

I don't play this deck for just donking. It's the prime use of Zapdos, but that's one of all Pokemon I use.
The whole deck's purpose is to keep putting on damage, while keeping in play until a valid replacement can be used. Overall, this deck serves it's purpose. I realize Minun is a bit time-consuming, and I may switch it with something else, probably a Trainer or 'Item' as they call them nowadays. I still need to get another Eelectrik, I only had 2 at the time I came from league. I'm probably going to take out Luxray, as Gliscor said. Zekrom will stay because I put Eviolites in. Some Bill or Cheren could be useful, I'll probably add some of them. Thanks for the advice, guys.
