As with many other languages, they put words in sentences slightly differently. For the French Pokemon company, the word series, might replace the word, sets. But either way, it's easy to see what they mean so don't your undies in a knot just because of one word.

You know, I really am slightly torn about the tins. On one hand, it really does help players out, which is good... on the other hand the reason we need the help is because the rarity scheme has gotten kind of ridiculous (we have at least two levels of cards that are "rarer than rare" outside of Japan, right?) and the reason it is so important is the imbalance in the current game (here's hoping BW: Plasma Freeze has a lot more decks pop up utilizing more of the card pool, making this claim past tense).

It isn't quite that whole push someone from behind (into someplace potentially dangerous) but instantly grab them and claim you saved their life, but it has a similar vibe; release a bunch of chase cards that are powerful and "rarer than rare", likely to shape the format and later re-release them in a collector's tin. Like I said though, this is far better than just releasing them in sets. Really, if this was more or less a guarantee with all of the unique higher rarity cards (which really would require having fewer such cards per set), I'd be almost totally cool with this.
 
Perhaps they found another warehouse full of Call Of Legends >_<
Anyway, it could easily just be a typo or someone counting pre-B2W2 sets as a different series.
 
Maverick Nate: French people prefer to say bloc (= block) for series. The French word série might be used for both English "series" and English "set" but is more often used for "set". Extension is too long. And Asmodée (the French distributor) never used any word for series, always speaking about sets.

Don't worry, you'll get packs from older sets.

Although it wouldn't surprise me if we in France got packs from previous series. While Mewtwo boxes got 2 Dragon Exalted packs + 2 packs from older sets in the US, we got 1 pack from Dark Explorers (it was the last set at that time) + 3 old packs.

Really? Asmodee Spain gave us 2 Next Destinies + 1 Emerging Powers.

To be fair to the truth, the boxes come packed directly from USA, son in fact is Pokémon USA giving us the old packs.

This is perfect. Now I can actually make the Team Plasma Deck without dropping $200 on 3 Deoxys, and 3 Thundurus. Definatly getting a case of these.
