the current meta is infernape/palkia lock in my opinion. and then next season will proably be blazeray or infernray w/ blaziken. im tryin to figure what the anti meta will be. i think it will be kingdra with tech. i have playtested againist a few blazerays and kingdra without floatzel and a 2-1-2-1 flygon tech is awesome. what do you think the next BDIF will be and its nemisis will be.

There's not going to be 1 BDIF for the whole season. The game changes when new sets come out, and even within sets. Generally anit-meta decks are rogue, and so it's hard to tell what that will be.

Also, Kingdra with 2-1-2-1 Flygon isn't really Kingdra with a Flygon tech. It's Kingdra/Flygon.

I'm expecting for BR's there will be a lot of Flygon, Beedrill (with techs), and Gyarados (because of Worlds). Then people will realize that they're not skillful enough for some of these, and we will see more Gengar and Blaziken FB. Does anyone have any news as to how Blaziken FB did and if there were any interesting builds?

Speaking of Blaziken, you will definitly see alot of those appearing in BR's. Thats for sure, and maybe some possible Gyarados decks. If anybody could ever find the right deck list for the Gyarados deck.

Blaziken FB was not legal for Worlds.

Wasn't it? Isn't the set that is prereleased at Worlds legal for it? Guess I was mistaken.

^The Gyarados is Gyarados SF. You have to get 3 Magikarps in the discard, then do 90 for zero energy. You only need to play 4 Call, so you can put a lot of trainers.

No, the set *Pre*released at Worlds is never legal... But it can be confusing because they do it that way...

One of the players at my league got into the Top cut @ US Nats with a rogue Gyrados SF deck, I bet he's pumped that something he used did so well. (You all might know him, he's Rogue_Archetype)

There will be a lot of people replicating Steve's Beedrill list and failing horribly with it due to lack of skill sadly :/ But what do you expect without a set rotation?

^ True indeed, and the trend will be even worse this year, so instead of new-format knockoffs, we have people using the exact list from worlds, and failing epically with them.

The guy who made the deck played 3 dark and Sabeleye.

There will be no real BDIF, just like there wasn't one in this format. We will have several top decks, each of which could be considered the BDIF, but none of them clear cut above the rest to say any one of them is the true BDIF.

Pretty much hit it on the dot, the format wont change much just techs being added.
