Strategy Get them to sleep with Wiggly and attack with Misdreavus Nightmare Feast. Xatu removes sleep from your active pokemon for 50 dmg for 1 energy and heals you for 50.

Xatu and Mismagius are for late game.

Testing allows you to set up pretty fast for a turn 2 50 damage attack even without Claydol

Any suggestions? I don't want to add Claydol as the deck is for my young son and I am trying to keep it simple.

if you want it to be as simple as possible, why not go with darkrai MD? it's a basic as well so you don't have to have complicated evolution lines and it can start working T1 if you get a psychic energy.

Darkrai only works when it comes into play, I would need to add dark energy. This means it is very unreliable. Since the pokes have very low hitpoints you really need a regular sleep every turn to help mitigate damage, as well as boost damage.
I love Darkrai and endless slumber but this deck seems to work on the surface and is pretty simple but annoying deck.
