And some misconceptions about tomorrows tourney (lets get some things straight)-
1.) This will be a Limited Event. Whether it is Draft or Sealed I'll leave up to you the players, it really makes no difference to me. We cannot have a Constructed Tournament just for the fact that if we changed it, it wouldn't get on the website with enough time for other people to see and build/bring a deck.
2.) When I say I'll let you decide on what we do, I mean I'll find out what sets are available when I get there, and then I will give you OPTIONS on what to do. **As of now, the only thing I can guaranty you with are any combination of 6 of the following: R/S, Sandstorm, and Dragon, I know we have a lot of R/S and Sandstorm and I can see if we'll get it at a cheaper price, but thats unlikely. Alan (the owner) is not going to be there Saturday so it is really not my call of how much we get boosters for.**
3.) Attendance: Noon is when I gather everyone up and say, "alright, here's what we can use- what would you like to do?" I never said I was going to walk in the door at 12 and start. I will already be there but I will be busy with other things. I'll then start collecting money and registration and then hopefully start drafting/deckbuilding by 12:30 or so.
4.) Things are going to be hectic. There are going to be 6 TCG/Minatures games starting at 11, and 8 other additional games starting alongside Pokemon at noon. I am going to be running a Simpsons tournament alongside this at 1. We will be crunched for space. Chances are I'll be doing all the Reporter work myself (depends on how staffed we are).
(a)If I am, I'll be sharing a computer with about 3 other games
(b)If I'm not, whoever is will be doing 3 other games
Delays from this are inevitable. I have never once prolonged the start of the next round for no apparent reason. Also, if there is an error in pairings/results, please don't have a fit/wet your pants over it- realize that things are really hectic and just come up and tell me.
Please, keep in mind that whether or not I'm on the computer, most of what goes on is beyond my control. We may not even be able to have time to figure out costs and such for other sets and might be stuck with an EX mix.
5.) We CANNOT run another tourney after this simply because we will not have any space to do so.
Again, patience will be the key to the success of this tournament. This is the first time Pastimes is trying a convention (we're likely to have another one later in the year) I'm hoping for a semi good turnout for this event, and I'm hoping things can be run smoothly.
Sorry for not making myself clear before, and sorry for making this sound a bit harsh...I dont really mean it to be (a certain someone thinks they can push me around and tell me how the tourneys supposed to be run)
