Hi, this is Serebii1997, aka, Aaron Zheng. I'm one of the few Junior Asian players. As many of you might know, I placed 2nd at NY states this year. I faced a few n00bs, but I did pretty well overall getting a 5-3 record. I played G&G, list coming later. There was a 4-2 Furret and a 1-1 Dusk and Claydol tech. Anyways, on with the report. There was a long delay, but soon, they announced that we would have six rounds, with Top Eight cut.

Round One: Robby G. (Empoleon)

Well, we both had set up, but then out HJ told us that we weren't supposed to, so we restarted. Too bad, since I had a Sentret, Rare Candy, and Furret. He had a pretty bad hand. We started up again, and I got Sentret and Furret, him with a Piplup only. I soon set up two Gallade's, one Gardy, one Claydol, and another Furret. I won in like T4 or 5. It was quite easy.

Win: 1-0

Round Two: (Rogue *Coughcoughn00bcoughcough*

He started with a I think Ralts or something,me with a stinking Baltoy. I was actually was worried for a second, since while he was shuffling, I saw a Celebi. Baltoy is weak to that, so I was afraid of donk. I got Claydol set up and then swept through the game.

Win: 2-0

Round Three: Austin White (G&G)

This was a loss I was pretty upset about. I got an early Gallade, but only one energy. Got Claydol, which didn't really help me. He soon got a Gardy set up, and a Lake Boundary set up. He OHKO'd my Gallade with a dumb Plus Power, then my Gardy. He soon destroyed me. I think that that was a pretty stinky game. I mean, I could have won if if wasn't for an energy drought. I knew I had to go 4-2 or even 5-1 to make cut. I'm sorry, but that was a quick and bad game.

Loss: 2-1

*Lunch Break* We went to Wendy's. *Yum Yum!

Round Four: Sydney(G&G, but a weak version)

She was young, so it was simple. We Wager''d a few times, and I won all the times. I had Claydol out so it didn't matter. Started with Furret, and got Gallade set up. Soon, I won with a 6-0 sweep. I feel a bit sorry about this game, she was a pretty good girl, but very young. I think this was a bad match, and I wish I could have gotten paired up with a better match up.

Win: 3-1

Round Five: I really forgot, but I won.

Win: 4-1

Round Six: Steven N. (G&G with Mis Tech) pokeball S

This was one round I was really looking forward to. We contacted each other before on 'gym, and was really looking forward to meeting each other. I think this was my best game of my life so far. We both had Furret setups. It went back and forth, trading prizes. Scramble really helped him here, as he got is Mis. with it. I got Dusknoir out, but it didn''t do much. I did KO his Gardy X with it though. Soon, it was one prize to one prize. I had Gardevoir out, him with something. He Warp Pointed, and brought out Mis out and killed Gallade FTW. That was a really well played move Steven, good thinking. Closest game ever in my life.

Loss: 4-2

Sidenote so far of the Tournament Well, I thought I wasn't gonna make Top Cut, but I did. I was really worried though, and was amazed that I was in 5th seed. I also noticed both people i lost to made the cut. Michael D. was undefeated, with Jarrett having one loss so props to that. Unfortunately, most of my friends didn't make it (Matthew T., Charlie P., Andreas W., and Alex C.) I handed my deck for deck check, and after a long wait, got ready for Top Cut. Here's what I remember of it.

1. Nadia
2. Austin
3. Steven
5. Me

In no order:
CJ
Robby G.
Rob G. Jr
And someone else.

Top Eight: Robby G. (Empoleon)

Round One: I LOVE DF Ralts. He started with Lapras, me with Ralts. Hypnosis FTW. Two turns of waste. I quickly got Gallade out, and sweeped. This game proved that DF Ralts is better. If I used SW, then he might have got a way better setup. So go Ralts DF!

1-0

Round Two: This one was better, he got Mantine out, and started with Lapras again. He moved around, using Mantine, and got a quick setup. Never saw an Empoleon though. I Sonic Bladed his Mantine due to weakness, and I'd rather save flipping one extra prize. There was a time he though I was going to attack, but I didn't, and placed Mantine in thie discard. He got all mad at me for that, and that was a bit unnecessary. Anyways, I finally one due to him having no bench.

So now, I was happy enough. A trophy and box is good enough for me.

Top Four: Rob G. Jr. (Plox?)

Quick summary of both rounds, his Psychic Lock ruined me. I almost donked him Game Two, but had a stupid Duskull start. *Sigh*

Props:
Getting 4th in my 1st Regionals

Great playing Aaron, Robert enjoyed playing you. Top 4 is pretty awesome. Thanks again for being a great kid :thumb:

Round Four: A Girl (G&G, but a weak version)

She was young, so it was simple. We Wager''d a few times, and I won all the times. I had Claydol out so it didn't matter. Started with Furret, and got Gallade set up. Soon, I won with a 6-0 sweep. I feel a bit sorry about this game, she was a pretty good girl, but very young. I think this was a bad match, and I wish I could have gotten paired up with a better match up.

Lol. That would be my daughter Sydney. This was her first tournament. She is 5 1/2 years old. She ended up 3-3 for the day and finished 18th. I have no idea why she wanted to play that deck, she can't do the math for Gallade's attacks. It is one I was messing around with and she had never played it before this weekend. She has done very well at leagues the few weeks she has played using an Empoleon deck and has only lost at leagues to Rob G Jr.

Sorry it was a bad match up for you but maybe she saved you from 3-3 too. She had a great time and I appreciate everyone being patient with her.

All in all it was a great time... except my 3.5 year old son left our Nintendo DS there and we didnt notice until we got home.

ashinto: Thanks. Anyone could get T1 Gallade, no biggie. MD will change the format a lot.
dimension: Thanks, great job to Rob., making an beautiful comeback.
pikachual: Thanks, too bad you had to miss cut.
Abudoggie: Thanks, I'm sure she'll do great in the future, she's very smart. Sorry for the DS.
Twinkle: Thanks, and you got that right!

Nice job man. The dusknoir tech really helps doesnt it? It helped me get 1st and MD regionals which is close to you i think by a little. Good luck at BattleRoads. :thumb:
