Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

North, East, & West Texas City Championships 2012

calm down bro, no need to get bent outta shape. tyler was a good tournament, but there weren't any big names there and the attendance for masters was low, in a really good sized tourney there'll be six or seven rounds, and a couple of players that everyone knows. Not knockin your tourney Birch, i apologize if i come across as rude.

Oh no I was trying to come of in a kidding way, more difficult without being able to show my tone lol

But yeah I wasn't bent out of shape, just playing along

Interesting to see Durant won

And interesting to still see Stage 1's place, haven't seen much of it yet since NV came out

No worries :thumb:

Guess I'll see you all the first three days of Texas marathon, got a motel in best spot I could inbetween

So the Dallas area is on a break from tournaments, come on down to Houston for a few City Championships. Check pokemonBUZZ.com for December 11th, 17th & 18th locations and times.

Looking forward to seeing y'all.

I just noticed I forgot to update the Event page on the BUZZ, it still has Noble Victories. The front page list all the Cities and dates but no link. Simply click on the Forums tab (top right corner) and you'll see each tournament has it's own information thread,

Please keep in mind that we really need to start on time due to the amount of Masters expected. All Cities have 50 minutes for registration and deck checks and we will stop at the 50 minute mark so that we can start at the top of the hour, on time.

I'm expecting 32 + Masters at each tournament, hopefully it will happen so that y'all can have a top 8.

Safe travels for those that are coming down.

It was great seeing the 4 Dallas are players that made the trip down to Houston for the weekend. Johnny, Cameron, Michail, and Casey.

Johnny won Saturday night in The Woodlands beating out Brad (Florida Regional winner)
Johnny had top seed (6-0) after swiss in Katy but lost in the first round.

Cameron had top seed (6-0) after swiss and made top 4 in The Woodlands and finished 4-2 in Katy missing top cut.

Both events had top 8 in Masters.

Pictures of both tournaments will be posted on the Houston Pokemon facebook page tonight.

Good job guys, thanks for making the trip, it was a pleasure seeing you.

Merry Christmas to all.

Well, I was 6-0 in The Woodlands before top cut... but Mr. Cook, I enjoyed your tournaments. They were run very smoothly. Merry Christmas to you as well!

The Marathon is Over!!!

Wow, the "North Texas Marathon" is over and it seemed to be a great ride!!! Now, on to the "Dallas City Championship". We will be there on Saturday, January 7th at 9:00am for registration. We plan to start at 10:00am. Please be on time or you will receive a first round loss.

We are looking for a large crowd of players for this event. We hope to see you there as you recover from the marathon.

It was great seeing a few Dallas / Ft. Worth players last weekend down here in the Houston area. The Birch Man, Dawson, Dana, Dale, and Michael Sterns made their way down I-45.

Congratulations to Dale for winning the Magnolia City Championships.

Photos can be found on the Houston Pokemon facebook page. We even have one of Birch covering the "3" on the table number to make it look like he was at table 1. I guess he forgot that the table number 32 (last table) was in the background, lol.

Good luck to all.

Is there a lunch break? Or should we prepared to play through lunch? I vote PLAY THROUGH........

The Dallas Battle Roads is Saturday, January 7th at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library.

The Library is located at 1515 Young Street (at Ervay) across from Dallas City Hall. The tournament is on the 1st floor. This is where we first had tournaments and not on the 7th floor. Directions to the library: http://www.dallaslibrary2.org/directions-central.php

Attendees are highly encouraged to park in the library's parking garage. The entrance is on Wood Street which runs behind the library. Parking will be $1.50. Please bring your parking garage ticket in with you so it can be validated.

Registration will be at 9am. Our goal is to start as close to 10 am as possible. The library closes at 5pm.

There will be NO lunch break so please plan accordingly.

See you on Saturday!

You ran an awesome event Christine! Everyone was great!

Still cant believe I won your "Guess whats in the tin" prize! LOL

Surprising you, however, was the best part of my month too!

I had to keep it a secret for 5 days, that was tough!
I knew if i told anyone it would somehow get back to you. Joey and I had a blast today, okay well probably me more since it was my first tournament in over 3 years and going 3-2 isn't half bad.
I will see you in TX and NM in March!

Thanks for the awesome tournament Christine, you rock!

I didn't know it was possible for women to keep secrets!

Thanks for coming out though, it was really cool to see people from all over in LUBBOCK! El Paso, Arizona, AND DFW players? That was really awesome! Hope I can make it out to NM, had a blast out there last year, one of the best events I've ever been to....even though I wiffed on the cut thanks to resistance. And hopefully Chad will be there again, always cool to see Chad, the man who did so much for Pokemon in West Texas for so long.

And, I'm glad to see a player from Lubbock win, congrats Heath. You played awesome.

And Alec, poor guy had the worst start I've ever seen two games in a row.

Congratulations to David Reichenberger (Denton, Texas) for winning the College Station City Championships. He made the trip with 4 other masters.

Also congratulations to Antonio B. (Frisco, Texas) for winning the Juniors division.

Ryan H. (Seniors, The Woodlands) kept North Texas from sweeping the event by beating Nikhil D.

Always good to see our North Texas friends.

See y'all at States in March.

Thanks Chris, Christine, and EJ! I had tons of fun. You can bet on seeing me in as many events as possible. (17 word minimum~!AHHH)
