Norwegian Stereotypes

I got this task on school: Find 5 different norwegian stereotypes. Whats better than ask on a forum where it´s soo many not-norwegians? I want some serious answers, but just make some ironic ones if you want.

If you didn´t understood what I ment, I´m asking for how you think norwegians are like.

Example: Many norwegians think that many fat peoples come from America. Americans are very open, they speak with random peoples more than europeans, but they can have forgotten it, even if they meet same person the next day.

Cheers for the help. :D

try entering 'norwegian stereotypes' into google. By the way are you a tall blond viking who likes skiing and drinking? I wont mention the dried fish the chunky knitwear or the strange taste in music.

Well, that covers all of mine. Thanks NoPoke!

Oh, and ice. I imagine Norway to be completely frigid. I think of Norwegians, I think of ice, glaciers, et cetera.

edit: I can't spell Norway.

Thats nice of you. :p

We actually are in some situations, but what you think is frigidness may be shyness.

More stereotypes please.

BTW, What teacher would make you search for Norwegian stereotypes? Why not more common Stereotypes instead of Norwegian?

Ummm, they have long bears, like axes, and live on ships:lol:

Because we are norwegians, the task is not that serious.

Whoa. My family is norwegian in heritage and we were planning to go there in the next couple of years... You mean to say that all norwegians aren't tall, blonde and handsome (like me =p). They eat a lot of potatoes.
Kumpon is delicious!

Norwegion kids are aloud to smoke i think so some people may view them all as smokers
Norwegians don't smoke. We take something called "Snus" (on Norwegian), it's like brown tobacco you put up your lipe.

Large, bearded, hot-blooded men shouting, pillaging, and drinking in log cabins.

You forgot "oppressing the French for the hell of it."

Granted, that's the historical European pastime, but still...
