NXD on Grass Deck

Hey team :) i have never built any kind of deck so I'm kind of at a loss here. I'm playing with the idea of building a grass deck, a fast grass deck. Essentially I would like it to be able to mess with conditions of opposing Pokemon enough that I can chip away at hard hitting decks while they are trying to gather enough energy to wipe me out.

Does anyone have any suggestions for Pokemon that would be good to base this deck on?

Cheers in advance :)

Virizion ex is great for acceleration and prevents status changes. Virbank gym makes poison hurt more. I think the new venasaur ex has poison attacks as well

Some notable grass Pokémon (particular set listed after Pokémon's name) to consider :

  • Accelgor (DaX) - 90 HP, Stage 1 Poké has free retreat and an awesome attack: Deck and Cover.
  • Genesect (PB) - 110 HP, basic Poké has Call for Family attack that can help you get your bench setup fast.
  • Genesect EX (PB) - 170 HP, basic Poké whose Ability, Red Signal, can "gust" an opponent's benched Poké to the active position (for you to KO or buy time). Its Megalo Cannon attack (for GGC energy cost) inflicts 100 damage to the defending Poké, as well as 20 damage to an opponent's benched Poké.
  • Leafeon (PF) - 90 HP, Stage 1 Poké whose Energy Crush attack (for C energy cost) is fantastic.
  • Virizion EX (PB) - 170 HP, basic Poké whose Ability, Verdant Wind, can protect all of your Poké from Special Conditions and whose attack, Emerald Slash (for GG energy cost), inflicts 50 damage onto the defending Poké AND retrieves 2 G energy from your deck that you can attach to one of your benched Poké.
Also, you may want to also include some Colorless Poké to compliment your G Poké too. In doing so, you will have some Poké that are not all weak to Fire Poké attacks, and Colorless Poké will not disrupt your energy scheme. Check out:

  • Bouffalant (DrX)
  • Kangaskhan (PB)
  • Kecleon (PF)
  • Lugia EX (LT or PS)
  • Tornadus EX (DaX or PF)
I hope you find these comments helpful.

Thanks so much! I've got some definite thoughts forming now instead of just a vague idea. I will spend some time building up this deck and post it once it's finished :)
