With Cities coming up in a couple of weeks, and after playing 2 League Challenges already, I'm looking to modify my deck some. The original list is from a friend (that's been to Worlds a few times), then a couple of people have given me advice and such. So I figured for more advice I get, the better the deck is, right?

So, on with the list…

Pokemon (10)
3 Darkrai EX
3 Mewtwo EX
3 Sableye (DE 62)
1 Mr. Mime (PF 47)

Trainers (37)
4 N
4 Professor Juniper
4 Dark Patch
4 Energy Switch
2 Pokemon Catcher
3 Dark Claw
3 Ultra Ball
2 Eviolite
2 Skyla
2 Random Receiver
1 Computer Search
1 Tool Scrapper
2 Virbank City Gym
3 Hypnotoxic Laser

Energy (13)
10 Darkness Energy
3 Double Colorless Energy

I recently decided to possibly switch it from Darkrai w/ Landorus EX/Terrakion/Keldeo EX techs to Darkrai/Mewtwo EX, and found a list online and started fiddling with it. So this is kind of the Frankenstein of my friend's list, someone else's changes to that list, and a list online. Really the focus is the Darkrai, and everything else I'm just trying to figure out what to play with until XY is released (IE, through cities).

I guess strategy is using Sableyes to Junk Hunt back things I need, and Mewtwo/Darkrai to hit, depending on who I get first or what I'm playing. DCE's for Mewtwo. Mime tech to help Darkrai mirror, and VirGen and other things. Ummm…yeah. So bad at actually talking out strategy.

Thanks for y'all's help. :)

i personally love darkrai ex but here is a recommendation from me personally

4 darkrai ex
4 sableeye
1 mr mime
3 abol mindjack

2 N
4 professor juniper
4 energy switch
4 dark claw
1 life dew
3 ultra ball
4 hypnotoxic lasers
3 skyla
2 bianc
3 virbank city gyms
2 evolite
3 dark patch

13 darkness energy

now the reason i made it this way is a couple of reasons that i did i decided to get rid of mewtwo ex 1 even though it is powerful there are better versions and faster versions of mewtwo ex now for instance virizon mewtwo which is one of the decks to beat out there now so you will need the extra power from the darkclaws and the life dew makes it to where you have to beat all 4 darkrai ex or beat 3 darkrai ex and 2 absol which can be a feat due to darkrai being strong the second thing is dark patch only works with darkrai ex and not mewtwo ex making sable somewhat useless if you cant get a darkrai fast now with the hypnotoxic laser its better to run 4 and 3 due to other stadiums being able to be played and you want to make sure u can use it darkrai with dark claw and hypnotoxic laser does a grand total of 150 damage which also beats empoleon decks which are big again now that theyve won two tournaments in a row and the reason i threw in absol is because it can be pretty easy to pull off 100 damage consecutevely sense people like to fill up there bench making the life dew just so much sweeter because it can get 2 prizes for the price of none :p so this is a version of pure power darkrai

Life dew reduces prizes by 1, not negate them all together. So if you life dew a darkrai the opponent still gets one prize. And takes up your tool spot, which is better used for dark claw, and is easily scrappered off. Don't waste your ace spec with a tool unless you HAVE too, like Genesect Ex or Victini Ex.

Absol is always great. I like him, but the mewtwo is powerful. And with the dce and energy switch, I think it'll work. And it helps against your Virizion mewtwo match up. Some has a loaded mewtwo, drop a mewtwo and dce, energy switch a dark, and OHKO that bad boy.

I like this idea cause it's different. And having played against it last night, it does well. Just 2 cents from a friend of the Dialga.

From my experience in running Darkrai EX decks, I would DEFINITELY include at least 2 Bicycles which can be searched via Skyla (and then played thereafter), as well as Junk Hunt'ed. With only 8 card actual draw Supporters, I believe you need more card draw support. You could easily replace 1 Energy Switch and 1 Random Receiver for the Bicycles.

I also run 1 Absol in my deck too just to have a non-EX Poké attacker option. I'd suggest you drop 1 on the Mewtwo EXs for this Poké.

Personally, I think certain Tools (e.g., Eviolite, Life Dew, and Silver Mirror) are, in many case, not effective since your opponent can just Scrapper them off your Poké before he/she attacks. So, I'd suggest you consider replacing both of those with: another Ultra Ball, 1 Max Potion, 1, Colress, another Tool Scrapper, 1 Super Rod, and/or another Absol.

I hope you find these comments helpful.

Thanks for the help y'all.

I'm also considering a 1-0-1 (2 Candy) Hydreigon tech, to shuffle energy around when I need it. Thoughts on that?

I'll definitely consider the Absol and Bikes (that's always my problem: bad hands and no draw power).

hydreigon darkrai needs its own varient because it also runs max potions and stuff like that so you can easily heal your darkrai ex and then put energy back onto it and attack so if your considering a hydreigon i would suggest making it its own deck because it runs differently yes it is a great card but those 4 spots could be put to better use if not using a darkrai hydreigon build of its own im personally running a hydreigon darkrai mix and by god its waiting for yveltal ex so it can do massive damage most times you have at least 2 darkrai ex fully attached with energy so 6 energy multiplied by 20 is which is 120 damage each turn not to mention it isnt 20x the energy its 20+ energy attached onto both pokemon so its realistically doing 140 damage by those 6 energy and then just move them and heal to continue the onslaught of at least 140 damage

I concur with shadow6668675. Your deck would radically change and if you don't have all the pieces available (1/some could be prized; you discarded one of the cards via a Professor Juniper; you started with Deino and it was KOd; etc.), then you have a bunch of "dead" cards in your deck. If you intend to stay "true" to your Darkrai EX themed deck, then adding Hydreigon will not be that effective, IMHO.

Besides, those 4 cards slots could be used for other cool stuff like a Mewtwo EX, Victini EX, etc.
