Hello everyone,

I hope this post is in the right place… I apologize if it’s not. Hopefully it can help anyone who has a similar question.

Doing a search on the Pokemon.com site, it appears that the nearest organized event is 2 hours away. I have played the TCG before, with friends and such, but never at an event, so I’ve never gotten a player ID or PIN number. Because I haven’t been able to find a local event, I’ve been considering starting a league in my area, however, that can’t be done without an ID or PIN number (as far as I can tell). So my question is this: do I have to drive 2 hours to go to an event to get a player ID and PIN number, or is there some other way to obtain them?

Thank you!

PS: In case it matters, I already have a Pokemon Trainer Club account.

PPS: The closest response I found to answering my question was here, but as I said already, I have a pre-existing Trainer Club account.

Players wanting to obtain a P!P ID need to either attend an event or contact TPCi directly.

Pokémon Support > Pokémon Trading Card Game > TCG Organized Play > What steps do I need to take in order to become a League Owner or Tournament Organizer?

In order to get set up to begin running approved POP events, you'll need to do the following.
First, create a Pokémon Trainer Club account by going to: https://www.pokemon.com/us/account/signup and following the instructions found there.
If you already have a Player ID, you will have an opportunity to enter it at this time. If you have not been assigned a Player ID, you may use our Event Locator and find an event near you where one can be obtained.
If you discover that there are no events near you, please contact us with the kind of events you intend to apply for and any information on the venue and your plans that you feel will be helpful. Once we can confirm that obtaining a Player ID near you is not feasible, we are able to assign a Player ID manually.
Once this is completed, you can log into your account, and then apply for a new league.
You can also apply to become a Tournament Organizer.
Fill out the appropriate application, and we will typically review it within the next two to three business days. Upon approval, you’ll receive additional instructions as to what the next steps are.
If you have any questions, or problems with the registration or application process, contact us at support.pokemon.com, and we’ll be happy to assist you.

I'm in the same situation, I want to sign up for organized play and get my OP number and PIN but I can't find any way to sign up online and the closest league to me is 300km away.

Now, the store I regularly buy my cards from has a sister store that runs a sanctioned league. Anyone know if it would be possible to call and get them to sign me up or would I have to go through other means?

Same problem here. I have a card shop that wants me to start a league, but no player I.D. and the nearest league is like 2hrs away.
