old baby question

sorry i never played with the older babys.
my question is can i evolve happiny into chancy the turn i play happiny down?
happiny reads:
once during your turn(before you attack), you may put chansey from your hand onto happiny(this counts as evolving happiny) and remove all damage counters from happiny.

im guessing i cant but im not totaly sure. thx for the help

You are asking about the Poke-Power called Baby Evolution.

Note that effect from things such as Powers or Attacks are not restricted by the timing rules of Evolution unless they state that they are.
Look at Ascension, for example. You can use that attack not only on the turn you played Zorua, you can even use it on the first turn of the game!

You can use the Poke-Power on the same turn that you played Happiny.
