Old cards

Can you use old cards in official tournaments. For example I wanna use the original switch from the first base set. The text on it is slightly diffrent then the newer switch.

To determine which preprint/reprint cards can be used in Standard and Expanded format, please refer to Current Legal Card lists under Resources on the front page of Pokegym.net. These should be updated for the 2022-2023 format shortly.

Yes. Cards that have the same game effect, even if they don't have exactly the same text, can be played.
Switch would count as one of those.

Also, you can play old versions of cards that have received an errata, such as Potion.
