Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

OREGON Battle Road Spring 2011

Alright, 3 more BR's this weekend! I can't wait!

Just try to sabledonk me! It'll be impossible thanks to my all Scolipede/Reuniclus Deck! (OK, I'm kidding)

I will be running DS at even more events. More than likely all 3 this weekend (Milwaukie, West Linn, Vancouver), and the 2 after that, and maybe even the two after that.

Actually it's 5 MORE! I'm really looking forward to our two BRs down south this weekend, and I am anticipating
a BUNCH of new Grants Pass players really pushing our numbers upward! I wonder how they will far against our
Medford/Ashland elite? I'm also wondering if we'll be seeing any competition from up north, or if everyone will
be going to the 'harder portion' of the Battle Roads and stay up there for the triple header!

All I know for sure is that Memorial Weekend won't be at ALL short on POKEACTION here in the best PokeState in
the country, OREGON!

Hey, I'm entering Battle Roads for the first time tomorrow. To anyone who's already played, what's the metagame look like this season?
I'd really like to see some creative rogue decks tomorrow. Any chance of that happening?

We've been seeing quite a bit of diversity in decks during this BR season. Check out the winning decks thread stuck at the top of these forums to see what's been winning and perhaps get some ideas of what you could build.

It went well. There were a variety of decks. The top four were Tyranitar, "Bad Romance" (vileplume, machamp), LuxChomp, and Tangrowth (my deck). I was impressed by the diversity of decks. : )

I won Masters using Tyranitar. Whoo! I finally won my first Typhlosion Victory Medal! Undefeated the entire day, although that Bad Romance deck gave me quite a run for my money, or should I say "Victory Medal?"

In Seniors Sam won (can't remember last name or deck he used).

In Juniors Colter won by donking his opponent twice in a row during finals.

Corvallis BR June 12

Hello,

You may not know but the Armstrong family is moving to Arizona this summer. The Corvallis league will continue and is in good hands. That means the June 12 Battle Road in Corvallis is our last 'hurrah' in Oregon. So, come on to Corvallis! Wait until you see the door prizes we have for you. It's expensive to haul stuff all the way to Arizona, so we're cleaning out our closets and passing on the goodies to you.
We want to see if we can hit the 100 mark on our BR--how's that for a goal?! The Elks Lodge is a fabulous location with plenty of room, easy parking and they cook up a yummy lunch for $5. Beverages only 50 cents.
Hope to see you then,

Nanette

Anyone coming to Corvallis BR with older holos in collections wanting tog et some newer cards for em, i'll be there and interested in some nostalgia collecting, especially for original starters (CHarizard, Blastoise, venusaur).

I won't be able to attend in Corvallis this weekend but I wanted to thank the Armstrongs for their great contributions to Pokemon in the Corvallis area...it's been great knowing you!

I'll be in AZ this weekend for Keegan's orientation stuff...I'm going to play the Saturday BR in Phoenix...wish me luck!

I have extras of the Original BASE SET starters. You can always PM me if you want to do some kind of deal ahead of time before Corvallis BR. See you then.

One thing I love about Corvallis BR is that Matt's Comic's is always there selling singles of Pokemon cards, and as a collector I love looking for older cards that have yet to be added to my collection.

LAST TOURNAMENTS WITH MD-on FORMAT!

Corvallis BR

Hey there,
don't forget to come to the Corvallis BR tomorrow! Lunch is just $5 at the Elks Lodge. The room has wifi, and a great area for those non-playing parents. Super door prizes too.

p.s. Clint won the Lebanon BR today, Christ Stotts 2nd. Rich came in 4th. Me, I stayed home and worked.

Today was a bitter sweet day.

We had the BIGGEST BR IN THE NATION with 71 people! Still, it's also a sad day because
1) We had to say our goodbye's to the Armstrongs
2) Last event in Oregon until august
3) Last day of the current format. (So long 75% of my binder)

Thanks to the Elk's Club staff for being such fantastic hosts and having awesome pizza, and awesome judge to Rich Armstrong, Breon, Travis, and BDS for running a fun tournament today.

Had a ton of fun today. Sad to see the Armstrongs go.

Clint, the "Team Rocket Prodigy" as we once dubbed him, has grown into a butt kicking machine. Just remember he was good from the start! That's what a Prodigy does!
