OREGON City Championships - New Year's Event Added!!!

Hey, great tournament today by BDS, Chris, June, and Niki! It was a great tourny at Chuck E Cheese,
and I'm really happy they threw this one in at the last minute!!!!!

Attendance 84 (44 Masters) (23 Seniors) (17 Juniors)

Here are the standings for what I know!

Masters:
1st - Jason S. - AMU (Palkia)
2nd - Clint A. - Magnezone
3rd/4th - Ted B. Dusknoir / Dillon M. Dusknoir/Gengar

Seniors:
1st- Zane N. - Regigigas
2nd- Luke(ie)-Kingdra

Juniors:
1st - Lily H. - Magenezone
2nd - Stephan C. - Abamasnow/Bronzong

Oh, and Mr. Raichu Said to tell everyone that he didn't lose a match all day. But who really trusts anything
he says, and who cares because I won the whole thing. (Love ya Chris!! :smile::smile:)

It was a really cool, tournament, a fun one that I won't be forgetting soon! I'll prolly right a report

Top 8 had Myself (Jason), Dillon, Steve, Clint, Ted, Stephan, and two other guys that none of the 6
master players in this room can remember. :smile: I was a little two focused on getting past
Steven and his MewtwoX in that AMU mirror match.

That was a Great tournament.

I made T4 with Dusknoir/gengar. Ilost to clint in the last round.

It was a ton of fun. I'll post a report soon.

oh yeah in case you guys want to know, my SD is 2-0 VS. dusknoir/bronzong, 2-0 VS. T-Tar, and 2-0 VS. vespiquen/cherrim think u can beat it? i don't >=D

I remember talking to jason and asking him what he got and it would be 1-0! , 2-0! , 3-0! 4-0! 5-0! , yet I don't know if he won last round...

We are now in Round 3, after a satisfying pizza lunch, which of course means that the Northwest players rose to the challenge Mr. Raichu, Momma June and I through down. You SMASHED the 100 player mark and I hope all 113 of you enjoyed the [DEL]fruits[/DEL] pizza of your labor. I know I did.

^not done yet, i will write a report but i went 6-0 with gallade/weavile/dsknoir tech (sonic hedgehog) and then i lost 0-2 in the finals to kingdra. first game i had nothing, and second game he had everything while i got mediocre starts and horribad luck.. GL everyone still in finals!
 
luke won senoir's (Kingdra), steven won masters (AMU) and kyle won jrs (Magmortor)

i was stevens only loss in swiss :p

4-2. 10th place, not terrible :) hopefly my points will go up a wee bit :p maybe from 1602 (current) to something like... 1923?? lolol
 
three straight masters cities for AMU (including an all AMU finals tonight). someone needs to step up and represent the pixies at corvallis next weekend.
i feel really bad for matt who had a game-state error in the semifinals against me that resulted in a game one auto loss. he showed a lot of determination in bouncing back from that and forcing me to game three overtime.

thank you to all my gracious opponents and to the judges and to the wonderful staff at guardian games. the thunder gym really is the best of the best.

god i love AMU. i think i went 25-7 in swiss play with it through cities with one 3rd place finish and two cities wins. this season is going better than i ever could have imagined.

see you all at league or the next pre-release or at states.

Wow, Guardian Games was a BLAST yesterday. Congrats to Steven for winning Masters. I tagged along with my good friends Ron and Maddox.

The Thunder Gym is easily one of the best places to throw a tournament. I got my City's worth of fun over there, even though I didn't play in the actual tournament. What I don't do in cards, I make up for in DS. Nidoking FTW. My favorite pokemon won me the DS tournament, well with a ton of help from my Darkrai. My third pokemon was hardly ever used.

Special Thanks to BDS, Momma_June, and Mr. Raichu for ordering all of us Pizza! Man, the three of you really know how to spoil your players. :biggrin:

Dang, I fought through Zack and that fierce grass deck of his just to hit a wall in the finals and lose to Mewtwo.
lol, oh well, I guess I was tempting the fates of the Pokemon world when I beat an AMU Palkia/Mewtwo deck with
an All Basic AMU Palkia deck the first time, I wasn't planning on the two peet in that respect! :smile: I tried running
it Steven's way with everything but the kitchen sink in there, but it just doesn't work for me, I went 1-4 at buckman,
and played it my way the next two CC's and Won out 9-0 on New Years FTW, and went 7-2 for Second Place in the
Biggest City Championship so far this season, so I'll take it! What more could I ask for?

Congrats to Steven, he's a fantastic Player, and I gained a lot of respect for him, and a lot of my opponenets this
week for showing fantastic Sportsmanship and a will to win that only topped by their unbreakable spirit of the game!
Which is exactly what lets us pull numbers over 100 in one, if not the premier Pokemon state out there! Congrats
to BDS, Chris, and June for making this state what it is today, and I hope that all of us, myself included can keep this
momentum going!! On to ASHLAND CITIES!!!!

hey people, i MIGHT be at ashland this saturday (depends if dad wants to drive me or not) so i'll give you the heads up soon, definitely going to be at corvallis on sunday though, so you better watch out!
