Pachirisu HP60 :lightning:

:ppowr: Quick Swap
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may show your hand to your opponent. Your opponent chooses one card he or she finds there. Put that card on top of your deck. Then, search your deck for any 1 card and put it into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward. You can only use one Pokemon Power Quick Swap each turn. This Power can't be used if Pachirisu is affected by a Special Condition.

The Defending Pokemon can't retreat during your opponent's next turn.

Weakness: :fighting: x2
Resistance: :metal: -20
Retreat Cost:

It's like a more balanced Pidgeot FRLG or a better Chatot MD. It also requires both players to make possibly game-changing decisions each time it's used, which would be good for the game imo. What do you think?

How would it be too broken with Catcher if it does nothing? I thought the point of catcher was to oneshot the opponent's weak basics so they cannot set up/for an easy prize.

Cool, but the attack needs to do damage so its not too broken alongside catcher.

Eh. It's gimmicky. Both Chatot and Pidgey had the attack. In order for it to work, you would have to be up on prizes for starters. Then, you would have to be able to Catcher a Pokemon basically named Cleffa. If the idea got popular, people would run Rainbows with Manaphy. Then, your opponent would have to not have any switch and if they do it's just a lost turn and a free prize. Trying to pull this off on a regular basis would be way too risky and probably result in more lost games than won games.

Alright. I guess it wouldn't be so bad. People could also probably play switch. I just think that for such a good ability, a weaker attack might be good.

I suppose a weaker attack might balance it a little, but I think it's pretty balanced now. It's not like Chatot or Pidgey broke the format. I suppose I could make it do 10 damage though.

Definitely make it do 10 damage.

Suppose we're even in prizes. I Catcher up something that can't fight back (Like Cleffa) and start holding it in place. When time is called, I let it run to Sudden Death. Game.

Also, maybe word the ability so that you can't seek out the card that was put back?

^I don't see any issue with finding the same card; the only result is your opponent now knows your hand and you get a deck search. I think it's a risky play to Catcher a Cleffa. Because then if my opponent has a Switch, they use it and kill Pachirisu and go up on prizes. That turn could have been instead used to either go up on prizes or get more damage on the board. Similarly, if time is called on the opponent's turn and they have the switch, I lose. Remember that we have a Spiniark that does this and the only place it sees play is in Vileplume decks. Pachirisu in Vileplume is no different than Spinirak would be if we're talking about this format. And who knows... Japan's BW3 might have Warp Energy in it.

Defiantely make it do 10, you can still trap Pokemon with resistnace, but overall, just makes things less frustrating.

I like the power though. Very balanced and cool. I feel it's most frightening with Juniper though, cut the hand down to what you dont need a guarantee a new 7 card hand.
