Packaging on the newer blister sets

So I had just noticed and a younger kid at one of my local leagues exploited a flaw in design of the newere blister packs.

It has become apparent to me that you can click open one of the blister's cardboard side seals and reseal the blister packs as if nothing ever happened.

Should there be a change in packaging and go back to the old format blister? What do you guys think?

He is saying that you can open the packaging from the side, take the pack out, and close it up to appear it's sealed. Essentially a way to steal packs at a store.
And I'm saying that without a picture, "newer blister" could mean about 1 of 12 different packaging types we do.

Unfortunately, right now the galleries are not operating, therefore, no way to post pics.

I'm talking about the single packed booster packs.
They come with a graphic on the outside layering of cardboard and shaped like an hour glasses almost.
They began production of these single blisters in one of the plasma sets, which one I am not 100% sure on.

It started with Plasma Freeze.
It was an effort to reduce waste.

Personally I wouldn't recommend testing the theory.
99% of places that sell those kinds of packs have serious security cameras everywhere.
You WILL get caught, and you WILL go to jail.
Just buy them like normal shoppers do.

Also it's a lot harder than it sounds to open them without damaging the seal.

People already have been stealing packs to begin with. You hear it all the time with Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic, and Pokemon (depending on what sites you go to). It's nothing new, but just makes a lot more people have that sudden idea that they 'could' do it finally.

Those should be glued on the sides. Are you finding unglued ones?

Not to encourage this, but the glue is sometimes very thin and the packs do come open easily. I sometimes open boosters in the car, then put the cards back in the pack and then back into the packaging for the drive home. The glue very often just sticks right back in place with no problem. So, easy open, easy close.

They are glued. Its a matter of just putting your finger between the two glued pieces of cardboard to open the pack from the side. The pack just slides out. I open my blisters at home this way to prevent twisting the pack or bending it trying to rip apart the cardboard. The toys r us where I buy my blisters puts sticky magnetic strips on the pack inside to prevent theft. You must open up the pack and remove the cards to steal. Not worth carrying around loose cards imo. The magnetic strips cost the store 15-25 cents more to prevent theft. The strips will make the sensor alarms at the door go off if the are not de-magnetized.

Unfortunately there are extremely dishonest people in this world (potentially one in this thread). I assume the concern here is they are opening the pack, removing anything good, and replacing the pack? I would HOPE that any store selling these type of single packs would notice someone standing around doing so. Especially since the newer sets are almost always right up front by the register. However, I could see this being a problem because some stores may not believe you if you come back saying the pack has already been opened. I honestly don't know of a solution for this.

I say just get a small box cutter, get a magnifying glass, a good light source, and make a small incision on the exposed area.

Once achieved, you count the cards until the rev holo and rare, check for EX or SR, if not one of those.. return and check another pack.

Rinse and repeat.

Way to deface the product dude.

Many morally-questionable posts in this thread. And people complain about Play!Pokemon raising the entree fees for events.

I say it's more of a learning the tricks from different forums to know what to look out for if ever buying Blisters. For instance, check to see if there is even a pack inside, check the glued sides if they've been tampered, and make sure the pack is sealed properly.

Tho who buys blisters when you have the Elite Box?
