Spencer's Gym Challenge Tournament Report
Hey ghouls and guys, Spencer has a tournament report for 15+ at the St. Albert gym challenge in Alberta.So i decided to go lbs for this tournament over my other option of powblock. As most of you know I have a pokemon family : sister, 2 brothers and I decided to give them Powdacham ( nick ) , Powblock (katrina) , ZRE (landon) and also lent a deck to Briana (machamp ninetails pidgeot) and Heather (Liability). We got up at 8 a.m. and gamed until the tournament started and finally got there around 10 a.m. The first round started around 11 or something and the pairings came up. BTW I wansnt planning on winning *shifty eyes* so I didn’t think I’d wanna write a report >.> so some of this info might be off since this is all from memory
1st round Spencer (lbs) vs Randy (Blastoise, pidgeot, lugia, latias star) 0-1
So we both had decent starts and then 3rd turn he rare candy’s blastoise ex and pidgeot ;x, I pretty much poo’d my pants cause all I had was a pidgeot and wartortle. I mud slided his pidgeot and then he smacks down a latias * and I squeeled like a lil pig. He basically owned all my guys with his crazy lugia and latias >.<. GG I got my face bamboozled and couldn’t believe I lost.
2nd round Spencer (lbs) vs Brent ( Polistall ) 1-1
This game gave me a nose bleed and I learned to hate Polistall with a passion >.< ( fossil army + dunsparce ) So we both had pretty dumb starts as I had my jirchi dx get confused by his dunsparce like no tomorrow. Then he sent up a fossil and we both drew cards like retards until I could finally get a island cave and get set up. He sent his poliwrath up to ko my jirachi and I elemental blasted that for 200 >.> . He sent up fossil’s until he got out a positoed and until I mud slid that twice
. Then the game gave me such a headache as he had mass fossil’s and the game took like another 20 min just because of his fossils >.> as I was using my steelix ex to 70 to everything. Oh well, your deck did what it is supposed to ( give other people alser’s and get owned?? Na jk XD ) GG !!
3rd round Spencer (lbs) vs Kelvin ( muk, dustox ex ) 2-1
This was pretty depressing… I attach a water and pass. He has a fossil and wurple out, and he attached an energy to wuple and passed as well. I PETM for a holons electrode and ko his fossil. And he attaches another energy to wurple and sends up a squirtle and I just retreat for jirachi and ko. GG ???
4th round Spencer (lbs) vs Taylor ( t2 scizor ex with 0 jirachi dx made by bex ) 3-1
Uhh yah…game was like…. He gets out 2 scizor ex and I elemental blast 2 scizors.
Whoop dee dee have a bowl of me. GG???
5th round Spencer ( lbs ) vs Nick ( my brother, powdacham ) 4-1
Another one of those crazy games…. I went first attach a water to hl jirachi which was on bench and wishing star’d for a switch. He attaches fighting to meditite and does 10. I petm for a holons electrode and switch for the win Either way I was gonna win as We figured that we would both get into t4 if he let me win

So we all get into the t4 except heather and landon >.< FIDDLE STICKS!!!

First game of t4 Spencer (lbs) vs Slimey Grimey (Pow Block) 1-0
I started with a lone lugia ex and passed for like 5 turns looking like an idiot, until I got out a pidgeot, by then Gordon was fricken stacked and ready to rumble. The game went back and forth like crazy and Gordon miss played that game so it gave me an extra edge. Gordon was all freakin out since he thought he won but I pulled the game outta my bubble bum and won with my mad freakin skillz. XD Gordons head pretty much exploded so we had to take a 5 min break to put him back together.
First game of t4 Spencer (lbs) vs Slimey Grimey (Pow Block) 2-0
Another game that I had a bad start…. I think I started with jirachi hl and passed my turns like an idiot until I could get set up. Gordon had another good start and I had my pidgey down and had a rare candy in my hand and petm for a pidgeot but they were both in my prizes >.< so after my 3rd prize i finally had a pidgeot out XD Once again Gordon miss played and coulda atm rocked me for the win as my blastoise ex had 60 on it and was rc’d but he forgot about it. ( I was praying to the pokemon gods that he wouldn’t play it and they came through ) . So I ended up mud sliding his pidgeot and admining and then he had nothing left after that and won the game
GG GORDON, its always an honor/pleasure playing you and ur cute lil poodle head.

Spencer (lbs) vs Sdrawkcab (flariados with mad turn 1 pidgeots) 1-0
So I knew that he was playing flariados since he beat my older brother in t4, ( he had horrible hands both game ) and he knew I had the face bamboozler known as lbs. So first game he pulled out a turn 1 pidgeot and I had a decent start and started attacking with my hl jirachi that lil critta is such a tank, I have so much respect for jirachi hl XD . Mike can basically make you feel depressed with like 5 words from his face (prolly some 1337 tactic....lol jk mike )
Anywho back to the game. He was spider trapping my blastoise ex’s and I was all like ko’ing everything he had with my blastoise ex’s. He ran out of ariados and was finally finished

I had no clue on why he had pidgeots in his deck >.> but he did have 1 pop2 pidgeot to shuffle in his flareon ex’s so that was kinda neat. Anywho he gets turn 2-3 pidgeot and I get a decent start and ko a evee with my jirachi hl ( fricken lov that card, I can even handle it XD ) So its pretty much a repeat of the last game. I pooned his face for pennies (ha ha … jk mike…but not really) I was ko’ing stuff with my blastoise ex and I came through in the end and pulled out another win.
So I ended up winning and so did my sister XD in the 11-14 with her powblock GJ!!! She had to play sdrawkcab’s brother who has some kind of rebellious belief against hygiene.
He had queen… with a 1-1 bellosom hl XD ( come on mike…seriously…..bellosom….i mean seriously mike….. come on…bellosom? ) So we got 2 trips to worlds and were still goin to Canadian nats to get the invites for nick and landon . Briana eneded up 3rd as she lost to the 1st place winner sharlene … GJ on your first tournament Briana!! Uhh not too much else to say… Ummm I just wanna say thanks to all my apprentice buddies, lakers11288, moltres432, and patriarch for some help with my decks, Bin for deck help, my chia pet mr.noodles for mental support, and mom and dad for taking me to the tournament and supporting me *shifty eyes*. Hopefully slimey grimey goes to nats and picks up his invite cause ill be really sad….in the pants, if he doesn’t get to worlds this year >.< GG to everyone and GL to all of you in your future games…
