Title: Partners In Time: To Save The Future

Author: David (Son)

Enjoy.
P.S. Original Storyline.

Prologue

Somewhere in time... on a distant place... crisis was abroad. The evil onslaught had
been faced by many, but all had fallen in despair. Except 2. Far away, on the other side
of the planet, hope had arisen. On top of the cliff, Gallade overlooked the barren wasteland.
Perhaps it was destiny that he and his partner, Garchomp, would be at the center of the
greatest mission in history. The whole galaxy's fate... was in their hands.

Chapter 1:How It Came To Be

13 years before, the planet of Ephina was peaceful. All was well, under the kind lord, Arceus.
There had been not a single war in the planet's history. 2 of his most trusted advisors were
Cresselia and Darkrai.

But on that dreaded day, Darkrai plotted to take over the throne. To
lay rest to Arceus and cast darkness and despair over Ephina. The morning started like
any other in that time. But the evening brought horrors that no one would ever forget, much
less tell, because the next day, almost no one would remain.

At 3:56 P.M. that day, D-Day struck. Arceus had been afraid that it might happen.
But at the time, he didn't know it would happen this soon. Arceus was confronting Darkrai
and Cresselia in the throneroom.

"If a war arises, please be by my side." Arceus said.

Darkrai thought to himself, "Heh-heh... I'll make sure you don't make true on his word,
much less me... Cresselia."

Then suddenly Darkrai began the revolt. "Arceus."

"Yes, Darkrai?" Arceus replied.

Darkrai sneered. "You were fortunate to rein so long. But now,
heh-heh... you're days as ruler END!!" At that precise moment, Darkrai sent a wave
of darkness imbued with evil thoughts at Arceus.

Cresselia hurriedly floated to Arceus's side and jumped. She whispered to Arceus, "So long. It
has been nice. Don't waste any tears on me. I thank you... Arceus." And with that, Cresselia burst
into a wave of moonlight.

Arceus gasped."Lunar Dance! I have to escape!" So, Arceus sped
through the ground to Ephina's core and escaped Darkrai's Dark Pulse.

As the smoke cleared, someone could vaguely hear Darkrai murmur, "Coward..."

Chapter 2:Daybreaks' Beacon

Gallade ran through the grass. Moving swiftly, he dashed over the top of the hill. He and
Garchomp, his partner, were to cross the Omia Rift Valley by daybreak.

On the other side, was a small village. Most of the Pokemon there had deserted the place after
Darkrai's army invaded the mountains around the city.

Darkrai's army consisted mainly of Sableye. Though, Darkrai's most trusted commander was
Absol. Absol was about as cruel and merciless as Darkrai himself, proven by even suffocating his
own Sableye regimen.

Another commander, a much different personality than Absol, was Dusknoir. He often played mind
games with his foes. Dusknoir and Absol had a feudal rivalry as they tried to determine which of
them was more loyal to the Lord Darkrai. It went so far as Dusknoir planting a Bronzong under
Absol's camp tent and ordering it to use Explosion.

Gallade and Garchomp were about to find themselves in a gargantuan amount of trouble, though
not even Darkrai knew about them. He would soon.

"Gallade, wait." Garchomp was feeling uneasy.

"What is it? You see something?" Gallade asked.

Garchomp raised his left arm, and Gallade gasped in horror. All along a cliff, thousands
of Sableye laughed in a chant. "Weh-heh-heh!" And right where Garchomp's talon pointed,
was Absol.

"Who are you trespassers?" The Omia Rift Valley was Absol's apparent home.

Gallade answered calmly, "I am Gallade, and this is Garchomp. We are on a mission
to stop the Lord Darkrai from causing ruin to Ephina."

Absol was shocked there were survivors from Darkrai's revolt. "You two are lucky to make the trip.
But I'm afraid your lives end here!" Absol raised his front legs high, revealing razor-sharp claws.
"Sableye, charge!!"

Gallade and Garchomp split up to fight the Sableye rushing down the cliff face.
"Get ready!" Gallade yelled. Their first battle was about to take place.

The Sableye rushed at Gallade and Garchomp. Each one extended their talons getting
ready to rip their hide off.

Gallade tore open a Sableye's back with his shadowy blades. Garchomp crushed 6 Sableye under
his body. Then Garchomp gaped his mouth open and sent a beam of blue energy at the cliff.
His Dragon Pulse knocked a mountain of rock, carrying Absol, crumbling down on the Sableye.
Each and every one was buried under the crust.

But it wasn't over. Absol leaped out of the rubble and rammed into Gallade with
Night Slash.

Garchomp was about to use Dragon Rush when an explosion sent Garchomp
flying. Gallade threw Absol into a rock jetting out of the cliffside. The rock stuck into Absol.
He leaned over, motionless. But he lifted his head to see what had knocked Garchomp.

A billowing cloud of smoke cleared out of the face of rock. A Bronzong fell =Thud!= onto
the ground. Absol smiled, "Dusknoir, come on out."

A shadow stretched over to Gallade's feet. A shadowy figure rose out of the ground and grinned.
"Absol, my tricks never get old to you, do they?" Dusknoir rose and floated in the air.

Absol said his last words, "See you in the Spirit World, Dusknoir." And with that his
head drooped down.

Dusknoir looked at Gallade. "If you survive this Bronzong minefield, we will meet again.
But for now, goodbye." Dusknoir teleported away, as one Bronzong after another detonated.

Gallade picked up Garchomp and lept around the explosions. They escaped, now knowing
an entity, serving Darkrai, was in pursuit.

Chapter 3:Crisis In The Rift

It was 4:37 P.M. Gallade and Garchomp were heavily hurt by the tussle against Absol and
Dusknoir. They were halfway across the Omia Rift Valley, as the previous battle had slown down
their pace.

In another dimension, the Spirit World, Dusknoir held Absol's body up to the gates of
the dimension's "trash bin." Dusknoir was the disposal unit of resting bodies as well as the dump's
groundskeeper.

Absol's spirit was next to Dusknoir. "Thank you, Dusknoir. After my body is gone,
I can finally roam free among the Spirit World. Because of you, I'm finally free. Let our feud end.
You... win." Absol said kindly.

Dusknoir expressed sympathy to Absol, "It's my pleasure."
And with that, he threw Absol's body into the pit. It slowly dissolved into the gases until seen
no more. "Now, Gallade and Garchomp, someone will get you." Dusknoir sneered.

Dusknoir was now at the heart of the Spirit World. He transfixed an image of Darkrai in front of
him. "Lord Darkrai. It is me, Dusknoir. There are survivors of your revolt confirmed. Credit goes to
Absol, now presumed, layed to rest." Darkrai responded.

"Thank you, Dusknoir. Now, send the
"BEAST" loose on them."

"As you wish, my lord." Dusknoir wickedly laughed. He floated to the
Spirit World's prison.

It was a keeping place of Pokemon captured by Spirit World hunters. Dusknoir took a key and
unlocked the largest cell. A giant Pokemon was in the cell. As it took
a step out, the floor cracked open.

Dusknoir smiled. "Now, you are released from your sentence.
In return, you must rip the hides off of these two." He held up two pictures. They had Gallade and
Garchomp's faces on them. "Annihalate them." Dusknoir said as he released the shackles of
the huge Pokemon. It slowly stepped through a portal to Ephina. Dusknoir dissapeared.

The Pokemon stomped onto the rocky crust. The Pokemon sent to annihalate them was
Tyranitar. Tyranitar reluctantly said to himself. "I want to be free. But if I don't do it, I'll
be a prisoner again. I want to stop Darkrai, too, but I don't want to risk being captured again.
What to do?"

Meanwhile, Gallade and Garchomp were slowly stammering through the valley.
Garchomp found some glowing object on a cliff. "Gallade, look up." Garchomp pointed to a
rock face.

There Gallade saw, on top of a slightly pointed rock, was a Remedy Flower.

"Gallade. That flower was the healing essence of war. Armies picked them by the dozen because of
their healing power. But they are very scarce now. We'd better use it while we have time."
Gallade took Garchomp's advice wisely and both of them were fresh as new.

"Now we're ahead of schedule. Great work. At this rate, we'll have plenty of time." But they didn't.
Because far above, Tyranitar had finally made up his mind.

They continued on, this time much faster. Tyranitar looked down at them. "There they are. I
have to. For my freedom." Tyranitar leaped down the cliff. Gallade and Garchomp jumped back as
the Tyrant Pokemon landed in the dust. Tyranitar looked at them, mainly Garchomp. "You guys...
so brave. I don't have a choice. To die or live. I go... with the latter!" Tyranitar ducked his head
down and charged.

Gallade grabbed Garchomp by the arm and pulled. "That's Skull Bash! Come on!"

Garchomp brushed him off and ducked. "No way. This is the perfect chance to test
a new technique." His head turned metal-solid and charged.

Tyranitar and Garchomp crashed into each other, but Garchomp was prevailing. "Come on,
Tyranitar! Your going down... or up!" Garchomp lifted his head from under Tyranitar's.

"W-Wha-..." Tyranitar couldn't finish his sentence before Garchomp hurled him sky-high.
The big body of Tyranitar crashed on the ground several miles away.

Gallade and Garchomp made it out of the valley that evening, with Tyranitar vanquished.

Dusknoir gasped in awe of what he saw. "But how?!" Dusknoir calmed down and
sneered. "Mismagius?"

A shadowed witch-like figure appeared. "As you wish, Dusknoir." She said as she floated away.

#4 is coming up! I've got it figured out. David out.

Chapter 4:The Spell Of Midnight Peak

Hovering around the mountains, Mismagius searched for signs of any intruders. "Dusknoir said
they'd come. Grr... Hex Pearl, tell me if this is true. Are they coming?" Mismagius's largest pearl
around her neck began to glow. "Yes." It projected a sensory map locating Gallade and
Garchomp's positions. "Ahh... they're right below. In the canyon. No hiding now. Hee-hee!"
Mismagius dove into the canyon's wall and waited at the side.

Gallade and Garchomp were dashing through the canyon. Having defeated the mighty Tyranitar,
they had a lot more confidence.

"Gallade, duck!!" Garchomp screeched to a halt and pulled Gallade behind a rock. A whizzing ball
of shadowy energy raced by. "I have a bad feeling. We... are trapped!" Garchomp exclaimed.

"Hee-hee... indeed you are." Mismagius laughed. She began chanting.

The walls of the canyon were slowly closing in, thanks to Mismagius's chant. "Now, you have no
escape!" Mismagius thrusted out of the rock.

Garchomp whispered, "Gallade, we can only escape after we break the giant pearl on her neck.
It's the source of her power. Break it, and the walls seperate. But we don't have much time.
Come on!"

Gallade ran along the cliff side and leaped. His blades turned shadowy as he was inches away
from Mismagius.

"Cunning." She spreaded a forcefield around her. Gallade skidded to the ground, dusty.

"Garchomp, I can't get through. Could you?" Gallade asked weakly.

"It appears Mismagius has a forcefield to block physical attacks. Though, I can penetrate it.
Dragon Pulse is a special move. I just have to aim correctly." Now to put the plan into action.

Gallade ran against the cliff and jumped. His blades sharpened. Gallade flew downward, holding
his elbow swords together.

"That old trick?! Come on!" Mismagius rammed the forcefield against Gallade and knocked him
down. Gallade flipped and landed square on his feet. "Now, Garchomp!" Yelled Gallade.

Mismagius was laughing wickedly.

Garchomp charged a ball of blue energy and fired. The beam spiraled toward Mismagius,
knocking her largest pearl flying into space.

"No!!" Mismagius screamed. "My Hex Pearl!" She rocketed down into Midnight Peak, slamming
into the side of the mountain.

Garchomp picked up the bruised Gallade and ran out to the grasslands below. They camped out
there, nursing his wounds.

"Gallade, you almost didn't make it. But no matter now. We push on." Garchomp said.

Dusknoir had alerted Darkrai ahead of time, fearing of this happening.

Back in the Spirit World, Darkrai was face-to-face with Dusknoir. "Leave this to
me for now. You may now dispose of Mismagius's body."

"As you wish, my leish." Dusknoir was now letting the Lord take matters into his own hands.

Chapter 5:Confrontation

Gallade stretched out on the grass. At the crack of dawn, Garchomp had gone in pursuit of
Dusknoir. But, unfortunately, Dusknoir wasn't there at all. He was in the Spirit World. Darkrai
had departed at sunrise as well. As for Dusknoir, he had let Darkrai take care of them.

In the Spirit World, the Gripper Pokemon held Mismagius's body over the acid pit.

Mismagius's spirit whizzed by Dusknoir, saying,"I owe it all to you, Dusknoir."

"No problem." Dusknoir dropped the body into the pit, which dissolved it. "Mismagius, let's
see if Lord Darkrai has reached the destination."

They floated to the heart of the Spirit World and went into a chamber. Dusknoir and Mismagius
gazed into a crystal ball. "Ahh... Darkrai has made it." They both laughed wickedly.
The first encounter was upon them.

Darkrai was hidden under the earth, his shadow standing on the ground. Garchomp was right
above.

"Gahh... where is Dusknoir?!" Garchomp was frustrated.

A seldom voice whispered, "You can join him, though right now, let's not." A black hand reached
out of the ground. Garchomp lept away as it swooped around to grab him.

"Gallade, come over here." Garchomp was frightened.

Gallade skidded to a halt next to him. "What?" Gallade asked.

Garchomp pointed under a tree. A black sihlouette rose out of the ground.
It proclaimed,"I... am Lord Darkrai."

The figure wandered out of the shadows and revealed its appearance. Darkrai had a black body,
a ridged, red collarbone, and a white, wispy flap over his menacing eyes.

"Darkrai, we finally meet. Why are you here?" Gallade stepped forward, his blades extended.

Darkrai laughed. "There isn't any need to fight. I'm just here to congratulate you for making it this
far. You defeated some of my best arsenal members, Absol, Tyranitar, and Mismagius. Though
Dusknoir escaped you, he is worried. So as my thanks, you may have this. I don't need it."

Darkrai handed them a unique-looking disc. "That is the Fossil Disc. It allows the user to
call on any "extinct" Pokemon. Or a special Pokemon... if you can say the name."
Darkrai then vanished without a trace.

"I still don't trust him, Gallade." Garchomp spoke up.

Back in the Spirit World, Darkrai floated passed Dusknoir. "Lord Darkrai! You could have
annihalated them!" Dusknoir yelled in frustration.

"Heh-heh... I'm the only living Pokemon who know's Arceus's name. They will never figure it out."
Darkrai had given them another chance.

#6 soon. David out.

Chapter 6:The Mystery Weapon

Garchomp held the disc in his hand. "Gallade, what do you suppose this can do?"

Gallade transfixingly stared at the Fossil Disc. "Like Darkrai said, it calls on an
"extinct" Pokemon. What more?"

"That's just it. Did he mean a species that is no longer alive, or a no longer alive Pokemon?
Like Absol." Garchomp shivered at the last words of Absol before he perished,
"See you in the Spirit World, Dusknoir." Gallade didn't like it.

They were walking through the forest, trees crowded with Pokemon. Pidgeots soared above
the canopy. Caterpies wiggled along the bark of trees. Parasects crawled under the roots, and
Primeapes swung along the vines. Nothing was more serene.

Dusknoir, still agonized by Darkrai, looked through the crystal ball. "That disc. Darkrai said
something about it. 'It allow's the user to call on any "extinct" Pokemon. Or a special Pokemon...
if you can say the name.' Now, what did he mean by that?" Dusknoir pondered it for a second.
"Gahh... I can ask the prisoner, Alakazam."

Dusknoir floated to the prison and gripped the bars of Alakazam's cell. "Alright, Alakazam.
Come here."

A weary voice murmured. "What do you want, Dusknoir?" Alakazam turned around, revealing his
faded body.

"Who is the Pokemon Lord Darkrai took the throne of Ephina from?" Dusknoir demanded.

"Seeing as I am the previous lord's understudy, I was Arceus's disciple." Alakazam
reluctantly answered.

"Thank you, Alakazam. I needed the info for the secret Pokemon of the Fossil Disc."
Dusknoir then floated off.

"Metagross, come in. It's Alakazam. Relay this to Gallade and Garchomp, if you know who they
are. 'Arceus is the special Fossil Disc Pokemon.' Over and out."

The Iron Leg Pokemon glided down the cliff. "Understood."

Chapter 7:Pursuit

A shadow sped across the rocky terrain. Metagross was to meet Gallade and Garchomp at
the Feralis Cave. They were a mountain range apart, with the cave in the middle.

Metagross easily glided over the cliffs with Magnet Rise, but Gallade and Garchomp had difficult
times with it. Gallade sometimes almost tripped into the ravine below, but Garchomp would get him
in time.

Dusknoir hadn't heard Alakazam's dispatch call to Metagross, but Absol did.

"Dusknoir, sir!" Absol burst into Dusknoir's chamber. "I don't know if you heard, but Alakazam
sent a Metagross to tell Gallade and Garchomp about the Fossil Disc Pokemon!"

Dusknoir pounded his fist on the side of the wall. "He did WHAT?!"

Dusknoir angrily floated to the cell of Alakazam and gripped the bars. "Alakazam!"

"Yes, Dusknoir?" Alakazam turned around and gazed at Dusknoir. "Absol heard you right?!
You sent a Metagross out after them, didn't you?!"

"Yes." Alakazam replied, fearing the worst.

"Grr... Absol, I'm going in pursuit of those two meddlers. As for you, Alakazam, you'll be staying
"here" for eternity! Aha-ha-hah!" Dusknoir slammed the doors of the prison, with Absol trailing,
and teleported.

Absol smiled. "Dusknoir, annihalate them." The chase was on.

Metagross had reached the entrance of the Feralis Cave, but Gallade and Garchomp had already
stopped there. They were resting, coincidently.

Gallade suddenly awoke to a shadow at the mouth of the cave.

Gallade shoved Garchomp and woke him. "What?!"

"Garchomp, look. That shadow." He whispered. Garchomp had never seen it at all.

Gallade stood up, blades extended. "Who's there? Show yourself!"

"Wait." Metagross hovered down the tunnel. "No fighting. I'm Metagross. I have information on
the secret Fossil Disc Pokemon."

Gallade and Garchomp stared. "Yes?"

"The Fossil Disc Pokemon is... huh?" Metagross heard a thump. "Do you hear that?"

Gallade listened carefully. "No. Nothing... wait... yes, I do hear something." =Thump... thump=
"I can't tell what it is. Can you-" Gallade didn't finish before =BOOM!= an explosion blasted
them out onto the rocky terrain.

"Hah-hah-hah... meet your demise." A voice out of nowhere said.

"He's back!" Gallade backed against Garchomp. "Backs to the wall."

A figure soared up into the air, laughing wickedly.

All three gasped. "Dusknoir!"

He calmed down. "Thought you had seen the last of me? Huh?!" Dusknoir lunged at them,
both hands emitting spirit energy.

=Clang!= Metagross put his arms evened up to block Dusknoir. "Gallade!
Garchomp! Run! I'll take him."

"Alright. Gallade, let's go." Garchomp was blitzing ahead.

"Stay safe, Metagross!" Gallade yelled, still running. "You can do it..."

"Gallade, wait! The secret Fossil Disc Pokemon is... Arceus!"

"Thanks, Metagross!" As Gallade dashed over the hill, he smiled.

"Alright, Dusknoir! Think you're so good? Well then, take THIS!" Metagross's arm glowed
golden. Stars plummeted down onto the ground. "Meteor Mash!!" He flipped sideways, arms
still linked with Dusknoir, and shoved his glowing back arm at Dusknoir.

"Gahh... I've got a counter." Dusknoir's chest opened, forcing a Shadow Ball to block it.
The two forces clashed, but Dusknoir had refined his, and he was prevailing.

"Say goodbye, Metagross, because this just went "downhill" for you." Dusknoir lept up over
Metagross, causing his arm to strike a mountain of rocks crumbling down. He fell down the
ravine, ending up buried by the rocks.

"Hah! Now, Gallade and Garchomp, I'm after YOU!" Dusknoir floated away, following their trail.
Pursuit was in full-fledge.

Whew! Long chapter! #8/10 soon. David out.

Chapter 8:Cataclysm

The ground was damp and dreary. Gallade noticed some Parasect struggling through the mud.

"Gallade, there's not much time. Dusknoir's on our trail, probably." Garchomp called out.

"I'd say so, too. Though, neither of us are exact." Gallade skidded down a damp slope.

Suddenly, a grayish hand reached out in front of Gallade and swung around.
He jumped and slid a few inches before stopping on a tree.

"Garchomp! Come here!" Gallade yelled.

Garchomp appeared next to the slope.

"Right there!" Gallade pointed to the side.

"It's Dusknoir!! Run!" They both blitzed around the trees.

"Hah... Come back here, you cowards!" The shadow flew through the ground. Gallade
stopped cold in his tracks as the shadow encircled them in a ring. Dusknoir rose upward, one
hand open, the palm emitting energy. "Now... I've got you!!!" He laughed malevolently. "Say
'Good-bye' to the light!"

Dusknoir's shadow ring was wearing off. Though, Dusknoir himself had them.

"Dusknoir?! What happened to Metagross?!!" Garchomp asked worriedly.

"Oh... him? He met his match... At the bottom of a crevice! Hah-hah-ha!" Dusknoir floated back
down to the ground. A haze started developing. The haze... of battle.

"Alright, Dusknoir. Now, let's get it on!!" Gallade extended his now black blade and slashed
repeatedly at Dusknoir. Dusknoir blocked most of the slashes with his arms, but the final one
snagged his neck.

"Gah... You'll pay for that! Arrrhhh!!!" Dusknoir swung a fist at Gallade, hitting him straight-foward
into a fallen tree.

"Haakk!!" Gallade coughed up a little before struggling to get back up. "Garchomp, go for it!"
Gallade shouted the alarm. Dusknoir dove, skimming the ground with his hand. Garchomp charged,
head ducking downward, turning silver. The grand battle has begun.

The two great forces collided, sending a mountain of rock flying around. Garchomp slid
backwards, digging his talons into the severe terrain to loosen any impact. Dusknoir hollowed
himself out, with the rock flying right past him, though he had a bruise under his chest mouth.
Garchomp had several scars covering his chest plate.

Dusknoir's mouth was gasping for air, something Garchomp hadn't noticed yet.

"Wait... Dusknoir's chest. His mouth is gasping. That... is his weak spot!" Garchomp
rang up a plan.

He backed up to Gallade and whispered, "Look at his chest. That mouth is opened entirely. I think
that's his weak spot!"

"Yeah, now that you mention it, he doesn't really have any others. Good job." Gallade put up his
arms in a stance. His blades extended longer than ever before. "That's it."

Gallade blitzed ahead, going head-on at Dusknoir.

"So, Gallade. You want to end this? Alright. Here's something to end it! Take this!!!" Dusknoir
opened his mouth, releasing a Shadow Ball. Gallade tore through it with his blades, as he put them
in an X-shape pattern. Energy emitting, Gallade swung the blades forward, a psychic blade cut
through the air, hitting Dusknoir square in the mouth.

He screamed in agony, "Gwooohhhhh!!! Wha-" Dusknoir slammed down on the
ground, barely breathing. "Gahh... Gallade. Garchomp. You're so lucky... =Cough-Cough= But
Lord Darkrai will dismantle you...=Cough= Farewell..." Dusknoir's head dropped onto the ground.

"Gallade, come on. We have to get to the Coros Crater. That is Darkrai's hideout." They set out,
as it started to rain. In the Spirit World, Dusknoir was now... free.

Alright. In 2 Days. #9 is coming. Just wait. David out.

Okay, you asked for replies.
Everything's moving way too fast. The characters have pretty much no personality at all, which isn't surprising, since you haven't left any time to develop them. Nothing's been explained much, and you need to add a lot more description. Also, have you considered not making the protagonists essentially invincible?

Even though it's your opinion, thanks for the
pointers, LEX. You've got some of the better
critique here. This is my 1st Fan Fic, so it's
my debut product. If I ever write another,
(Probably will) it'll be a lot more detailed.
I accept the criticism. Thanks again.
#9 could come as soon Monday/Tuesday,
or Thursday/Friday.

Chapter 9:Coros Crater: Where Grand Power Comes

Gallade ran up the hill. Rain poured down heavily, making steam out of the sizzling magma. They
were a few yards away from the Coros Crater, where Darkrai rested in the pit of it all. Though
dormant ever since the eruption of Versai, the magma has surprisingly stayed alive and lingering.

Aside from that, Garchomp peered down the heated shaft of the Coros Crater. Lava slowly
bubbled around the walls, like slugs. "Alright, Gallade. Darkrai is waiting at the bottom of the
crater. Are you coming?" Garchomp asked.

Gallade smiled. "Why not? This is the chance of a lifetime. I'd miss this? No way."

"Okay. I trust you. Just remember, if either of us perish in battle, we'll remain lifelong friends,
right?" Garchomp stuck out his hand. Gallade clutched it.

"Right. We... are in this together. Now, let's take on Darkrai." They both slowly stepped through
the entrance.

Walking steadily down the entrance shaft of the Coros Crater, they had great confidence in one
another, especially after defeating Dusknoir. The spiraling stairway peered down into what seemed
like nothingness, but the stone floor was visible in outline. Some magma peaked outside of cracks
in the wall, lighting the way partially. Ahead, light started to gleam, though very slim.

The light vastly peered in the farther they came down until, they were finally out in the light.
The light wasn't actually coming from the sky. It was still raining. The light came from the lava
dripping inside the pit of the Coros Crater. And... in the middle of the crater... was Darkrai.

Darkrai floated solemnly above the middle of the pit, his menacing eyes glaring at Gallade and
Garchomp. "Ah... so, you took up on my offer. Smart. But are smart enough to defeat... me?"

"You can bet. You're going down here and now. You doomed yourself by giving us... the Fossil
Disc!" Gallade held it in his right hand, staring at Darkrai.

Darkrai grinned. "But, unfortunately for you, you haven't got a clue about who the secret Fossil
Disc Pokemon is! Ah-hah-hah-ha!"

Garchomp added in. "Oh no. We do have a clue. And you have your old pal Dusknoir to thank."

"Dusknoir helped?!"

"Yes. Dusknoir's the one who brought it up to Alakazam, a disciple of the
Fossil Disc Pokemon. Alakazam signaled his partner Metagross to tell us the info. Right before
Metagross met his death at the bottom of a ravine, he yelled to us the Pokemon's name."

Darkrai stared in disbelief, gasping.

"And that Pokemon's name is...-" Gallade said. "...-"

Darkrai suddenly came back to his senses and zoomed at Gallade. They met eye-contact
before he swooped his hand out at the Fossil Disc. But too late.

"It... is Arceus." Gallade smiled.

The disc glowed and floated up dissolving in the air. A dog-shape figure with a ring around it
formed out of the Fossil Disc. It stamped its feet out on the ground and let loose a huge roar.
"GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!"

Soundwaves echoed off the crater walls, rattling everything as if an earthquake hit. Darkrai shot
back against the wall, shaking in pain. Gallade hung onto Garchomp, who dug his talons into the
terrain. The echoes stopped, though the pit was still in tremors.

The Pokemon angrily glared at Darkrai. "Darkrai! You traitor! Why are you causing ruin to
Ephina?!"

"Arceus. All I want is control of Ephina and the ultimate power." Darkrai slowly got up from
where he layed.

Arceus still glared transfixingly. "You were one of the best advisors who ever served under me.
Why? Even though you 'only' wanted those two things, causing ruin to the planet?! Absurd!
You are going to the Spirit World for eternity!"

Darkrai smiled. "Not without a fight!"

Arceus turned to face Gallade and Garchomp. "Alright, you two. I will need your help with this.
Are you ready?"

Gallade and Garchomp smiled. "Without a doubt!"

Arceus opened his mouth.

"Alright, Dragon Pulse!" Garchomp shouted.

Arceus fired a charged beam of blue energy at Darkrai, who released a Shadow Ball. The two
forces collided with a =Boom!= Smoke blew around everywhere. Everyone coughed in the pillar of
dark soot, but Darkrai shot out of the cloud. He slammed into the pit wall, sending a lava spill
shooting out the side of the crater. Trees turned to ashes in the crossfire. As the smoke cleared
in the crater, Gallade could make out Darkrai's outline in the rock. Gallade charged at him,
blades sharpened.

Darkrai opened his withered eyes to see Gallade in the eye. He stared at Gallade. "..."

Gallade repeatedly bashed Darkrai in every place on the frontside of his body. Darkrai spit up
blood on his body. Gallade finished the Close Combat by stabbing Darkrai in the side. Red magma
swirled around his beaten-up body. The blood mixed into the magma, coloring it dark red.

Garchomp smiled at the sight.

Garchomp ducked his head at jumped.

"Garchomp?! What the?!" Gallade yelled.

"Aaarrgghh!!" Garchomp slammed his body into Darkrai, sending a shower of lava and rock
flying in all directions. Smog billowed out of the deep hole.

Arceus and Gallade dashed over and looked in. Garchomp was climbing out to the top of the hole,
carrying something. they backed up as he tossed Darkrai's bruised body on the ground. All three
stared at Darkrai, who slowly opened his eyes.

He weakly spoke. "Alright. You three had me. I knew when you summoned Arceus, Gallade,
I was through. All I wanted was domination of Ephina. But =Cough= I have seen the errors of
my ways. Please forgive me. I =Cough= am... sorry..." Darkrai's body layed motionless, his spirit
free in the Spirit World forever.

Arceus turned to Gallade and Garchomp. "Thank you, both. Without you, Ephina would be
doomed. You are very noble. And now... I have a choice of two options for your heroics. You may
stay in this time and rule Ephina as my chief advisors in place of Cresselia and Darkrai, or I may
send you to your original time period, though you will forget everything about this. Which is your
choice?"

Find out in Chapter 10 what they choose. David out.

First of all, you used 'seldomly' when I think you meant 'solemnly'. Second, start a new paragraph whenever a different character speaks. All the dialogue being clumped together is hard to read. Third, stop overemphasizing the epicness of everything. For example, this sentence:
They both slowly stepped through the entrance...
of oblivion.
is just kind of overdone. It might even be useful once or twice, but not nearly so often. Try to find a more subtle way to increase suspense.

Thanks again, LEX. These are stuff I'll
probably add to my next fan fic. I'm studying
how everyone else writes theirs currently.
#10 is a shorter one than the others.

And, is it okay to link a second fan fic to another
one? Like Pokemon Ranger Quest and Pokemon: The Sinnoh Chronicles
for example. Thanks for any pointers anybody has or
if it's okay to do the thing above.

Chapter 10:Tough Decisions

Gallade and Garchomp pondered that decisive question for awhile.

"Gosh, Garchomp. I can't decide. On one hand we can live under Arceus in this time.
On the other we can be sent back to our home time, though we will forget this ever happened."
Gallade thought.

Garchomp quickly answered. "The first option, come on! Remember? Our time was more battle
scarred than this place was 13 years ago! What do you think now?"

Gallade worried about his home time. "Now that you've said it, I don't really feel that all
comfortable with our second option either. But, maybe... just maybe... while we were in this time,
they could have fixed everything! Look at how long we've been in this time! Don't you think that
was enough time to fix everything?!"

Garchomp wondered. "Hmm... I haven't thought it that way... Yeah, let's do it! We're going to our
home time!"

They both turned to face Arceus. "Alright. Have you made up your minds?"

Gallade stepped forward. "Yes. We wish to return to our home time. For one, we could never replace
Cresselia and Darkrai as your advisors. And secondly, we think while we were here, they might
have solved everything in our time. That is why."

Garchomp added. "Please sir. May you please send us to our own time?"

"Yes. I'll open the Time Gate. HHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!" Arceus let
loose a roar, opening a portal. "That is the way. You know you'll forget everything, right?"

"Yes we know. Thank you, Arceus!" Gallade said. They both stepped through the
Time Gate.

"Farewell..." Arceus smiled.

A flash of light appeared over a village. Gallade and Garchomp were beamed down to the ground.

"Gallade?" Garchomp asked.

"Yes. I know. I see it." Gallade looked up. In the clouds, a figure spun round and round in the sky.
It was dog-shaped, and had a faint ring. As it vanished under a cloud, a voice echoed around the
village.

It faintly whispered. "... Thank you..."

Garchomp stood firm. He held his hand out as he turned away from Gallade. Garchomp held a
fragment of a ring up to the skylights. It gleamed in 16 different colors.

Garchomp smiled. "You're welcome... Arceus."

Whoo! It's finished!:thumb::thumb: Go ahead and comment still. David out.

Can someone please answer this? I've got an
idea for a 2nd Fan Fic, but I don't want to start a new thread.
I'd like to start and write a 2nd in here. Thanks.

David out.
