Pengy's CaC Revolution Moves Closer: Round 2 Hath Begun!!!

Skip the first two paragraphs if yo wish, but you may find them helpful.

A long time ago, on the twenty-sixth of June 2004, a Create-a-Card contest was brought upon the gym... Many participants flocked from all around the CaC Section and and all across the gym to enter... there were some who made their debut, and there were elite masters such as SuperWooper, Patriarch, bertrand, and Burninating_Torchic, who gathered in that one place to pwn... Now, that contest is back like a chicken escaping a slaughterhouse... well, maybe not like that, but it IS back. With tougher competition, if you're lucky, new challenges, and a new title: PenguinMaster's Ultimate 1337 Master of all Things CaC! Who knows who will win, but it won't be easy. The competition will progress in a number of rounds determined by the number of entrants. The higher score you get, the better chance you have to stay alive. At the end of each round, those with the lowest scores will be eliminated. As we move to the final few contestants, you will take on another competetor in a face-off challenge, a mechanic new to CaC contests. The last person to alive, obviously, is the winner.

I may award second and third place, but you get no titles or prizes of any sort. Knowing that you defeated other ambitious CaCers is your reward. Sadly, all I have to offer for prizes is your card made into an image fake using the most advance Photoshop software, and maybe some cards. If you're one of those people who can make their own images, enter anyway. We'll work SOMETHING out ;).

Regardless, I invite each and every one of you to come and enter. I will except card entries until January 19 at 10:00 CST. If you don't have your card posted or PM'd to PenguinMaster by then, it does not get in.

Alriiighty then, enough page-filling blah. Here's the stuff you need to know for Round 1
.

Round 1 Details and Shtuffz like that said:
Well, let's start you off nice and easy. Your first task is to make... let's see... how about a simple Stage 2 Pokémon. Easy enough, it can be ex, SP, DS, owner's, Dark, Light, etc., and Ultima types are allowed. BT, you automatically lose if you enter Kingdra DS ;x ;x ;x. Now, I present to you the rubric from which you will be scored.

El Rubric!
*Stuff at the top of the Card (5 Pts.)
Easy enough. Name, HP, and type. Make it all correct for your Pokémon and you get full points.

*Picture (20 Pts.)
Nothing to laugh at here. Make it descriptive, imaginative, absract. You know, all the stuff your art teachers and professors rant on about? I want to see the thing in my head. Impress me with your awesome skills of descriptiness.

*The Meat: Poké-Powers, Poké-Bodies, and Attacks (50 Pts.)
The biggest section of your score. This includes attack/power name, Energy costs, damage, effects, playability, etc. Make it creative. Don't be afraid to explore new game mechanics, you might find yourself with more points.

*End Stuff (5 Pts.)
All the stuff at the bottom of the card, basically Weakness, Resistance, and Retreat. Include rarity, 9-digit code, etc if you wish.

*Spelling, Grammar, and Proper Game Text (20 Pts.)
Erm, yeah... do it right. Make sure I know what you're talking about and don't mispell stuff, as I am sure I have already -_-. For certain people (APT) you may want to look at a real card, or use something with spell check like Word to revise your card. That is, if youwant to win.

Now, I believe that covers everything. Enjoy!

and freshly inspired by some poof poof disney movie about magic, here comes the man who gave you all the oppurtunity to submit SPs, DSs, and Ultima types. Now let's see, how can I combine all your favorite scrumptious little bonuses into one...well, it's worth a shot. Poof Poof. I think I'll take this straight from the RMP fanfic...

Jill's Dark Crobat SP
Stage 2 /[Y] Pokemon
270 HP

When Pokemon SP is knocked out, your opponent draws 3 prizes instead of 1.

Poke-Power: Flight of the Relentless
Once during your turn(before you attack), you may draw a card for each damage counter on Jill's Dark Crobat SP. Then, place 1 damage counter on one of your opponent's Pokemon for each card you drew in this way. If you place more then 10 damage counters on one of your opponent's Pokemon in this way, place 2 damage counters on Jill's Dark Crobat SP(after placing damage on one of your opponent's Pokemon). You can't use this Poke-Power if Jill's Dark Crobat SP is affected by a Special Condition.

[Y] Lock On
During your next turn, you do not need to flip any coins for Jill's Dark Crobat SP's MegaToxical Rush. Prevent all effects on the Defending Pokemon that would prevent or reduce damage done by that attack.

MegaToxical Rush 150
The Defending Pokemon is now Poisoned. Place 12 damage counters on it inbetween turns instead of 1. If this attack would do more damage then the Defending Pokemon has remaining HP, you may do the rest of the damage to one of your opponent's benched Pokemon instead(Don't apply weakness and resistance for benched Pokemon). Flip 3 coins. If any of them are tails, this attack does nothing. If Jill's Dark Crobat SP has any basic energy cards attached to it that provide [Y], this attack does nothing.

Weakness: [P][O]
Resistance: [N][G]
Retreat Cost: [C][C]

Picture: The background is pitch black, with a beam of light shooting straight down the center, and a spotlight circle about 1/6 the width of the Picture is in the center. In the Center of the spotlight is a girl, with orange fluffy hair in two braids, like the female aqua admin(I think) from Ruby and Sapphire. She has menacing green eyes and is wearing the team rocket female uniform, like what Jessie wears in the Pokemon TV show. She is standing still, straight except for her arms, which are swung out on both sides of her body, upwards, almost fully extended facing towards the top of the image. Her face is facing straight at you. In the holofoil of the card are her menacing green eyes, each one taking up their entire quadrant(upper left, upper right). How does this have anything to do with Crobat? In the center of each eye, where the pupil would be, is a Crobat looking much like Dark Crobat from TRR, facing straight at you. They are in the distance, however, and are somewhat small. Also, right above her, hovering, is another one of these crobats, perfectly close up, facing you with the same menacing look as her.

Set: EX: Rocket's Master Plan: War of the Yin Yang
Rarity: SP Rare
Number: not yet known
9-Digit ID: RKT-ELI-TE2(As in Rocket Elite 2, Leader of the B squadron)

meh, sorry for the comfusing grammar on the second attack...it confuzzles even me.

Stage 2 Pokémon (Evolves from Koga's Haunter)
(This Pokémon is both {G}{P} type.)

{P}{P} Shadow Wave Flip 5 coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads. If you get 4 or more heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused. 10x
{G}{G}{C} Heavy Smog Clap This attack does 30 damage to each Defending Pokémon and each Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned.

Weakness: {P}{D}
Resistance: {F}
Retreat Cost: {C}
Picture: A Gengar, center, is standing in a dojo (its wall is the backdrop), wearing a purple belt. To either side, you can see an Arbok head and a Tentacruel tentacle heading straight for Gengar, as if via a sneak attack. Gengar's eyes are glowing, as if it is about to vanish to avoid the attacks

This is a non-Ultima dual-type Gengar that balances the attributes of both of its GB types, Ghost and Poison ({P} and {G}, respectively, in the TCG), including the TCG types, a Ghost attack, a Poison attack, and even double Weaknesses.

Manectric {L}
80 HP

Weakness : {N}
Resistance : {M}
Retreat Cost : {C}{C}

{Poké-Power} Flowing Current
Once per turn, before you attack, you may flip a coin. If heads, you may attach a basic {L} energy card from your hand to Manectric.
{L}{C}{C} Static Electricity
Put 2 damage counters on all non-{L} Pokémon in play. During your opponent's next turn, if he or she attaches and Energy card to 1 of his or her Pokémon, put 2 damage counters on that Pokémon.
{L}{L}{C}{C} Random Thunder
Flip a coin. If heads, choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon and this attack does 80 damage to it. If tails, choose 1 of your own Pokemon and put 4 damage counters on it.

Picture : Manectric is standing on a rock in a clearing in the middle of a forest. There are sparks all around it and in the sky there is a thunderstorm brewing. Behind the trees, you can see many Electrike hiding from the storm. There is an opening in the clouds and the moon is shining down.

edit : oops didn't see it had to be stage 2, i'll fix it later

Oh He Who Has Mastery Over Penguins, do you mean that the card should be Stage 2, or the Pokemon?

For example, a Shining Aggron/Aggron (*) would be a Stage 2 Pokemon, but a Basic Pokemon card.

Similarly, Cradily is technically a Stage 1, but because Lileep must evolve from a Fossil, it becomes a Stage 2 card.

I guess what I am asking is, are Shining Pokemon/Pokemon (*) allowed? Can I use my idea of "Shiny Pokemon" (i.e. shining Pokes that Evolve)?

Scribble- No on the Shiny Aggron, yes on the Cradily. All shiny pokemon are basics and are there fore not stage 2's, lol. Cradily is a stage 2- it says so on the card- and it can be used.

Thank you, Oh Master Of Penguins.

But what about "Shiny" (not Shining) Pokemon, ones that evolve?

Example:

Shiny Gorebyss
60 HP {W]

Stage 1 Pokemon (Evolves from Shiny Clamperul)

I introduced them in "Battle Of the l33t" thread.

Can I enter one of those?

That thread kinda died, lol...

But sure, as long as they're fairly different from (*) Pokémon... enjoy!

Lucanian Aggron
Type: (F)(M)
110 HP
Stage 2 Pokémon - Evolves from Lucanian Lairon
Weakness: (R)
Resistance: (G)
Retreat Cost: (C)(C)(C)(C)

Picture: (Can I do an ACTUAL picture: As in Photoshop art? That way, you can picture the card art in your head easily...)

Poké-Tool: Lucanian Repair Module
Once during your turn, when you play Lucanian Aggron from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon, you may remove all damage counters from all of your Pokémon and your opponent’s Pokémon with Lucanian in its name (excluding Pokémon-ex, Pokémon-SP, and Pokémon-DS).

(M)(C)(C) - P Wave - 40
This attack does 10 damage to each of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) During your next turn, S Wave’s base damage is doubled.

(F)(F)(C)(C) - S Wave - 70
This attack does 10 damage to each Benched Pokémon (both yours and your opponent's). (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Then, flip a coin. If tails, Lucanian Aggron does 30 damage to itself. During your next turn, P Wave’s base damage is doubled.

Rapidash (R) 70HP
Stage one Pokemon.
Evolves from Ponyta.

Picture: Several Rapidashes are galloping at a grassy plains. Some are grazing. The green plains have buffalo grass, buttercup and some bluish flowering grasses. There are some stubby trees at the horizon. There is a lage flaming ball of sun at the horizon. It was dusk. There were some thin wispy lines of clouds scurrying across the sky, hiding some parts of the flaming sun. You can see some gaucho tents at the plains. There are some gaucho men and kids galloping on the Rapidashes. The gaucho women are preparing dinner outside the tents. The nearest Rapidash is galloping towards you with it's mane ablaze. It's eyes were red with rage (dunno why, probably you provoked him? :wink: ). It's mouth is slightly opened.

Poke-Body (Flame Rage)
If the defending Pokemon does damage to Rapidash (unless it knocks out Rapidash), you may flip a coin. If heads, you may search your discard pile for a (R) energy card and attach it to Rapidash.

(R) Flash Burn 10
You may discard an energy card attached to rapidash. If you do, choose an energy card attached to the defending Pokemon and discard it. If the defending Pokemon doesn't have any damage counter on it, the defending Pokemon is now burned.

(C)(C) Ethereal Flame 20+
You may discard all (R) energy cards attached to Rapidash. This attack does 20 damage plus 30 more damage for each energy card discarded this way.

Weakness (W)
Resistance
Retreat Cost (C)

Lorak, that card seems like it could be an ex....definately not an SP tho. Just ex. Because think about it, you could do 140 on turn 3(assuming you rare candy on turn 1) if you attach 2 of the [M][F] energy from Ultima to it...;x ;x ;x

Ultima cards = evil
Ultima types = more evil

Look, it would only be broken because the cards you made make it broken. It's quite fine as a card by itself. Using your logic, you could say that all Dark cards are now broken because they can use Rocket Cube 01.
