Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Philadelphia Philly's discusion thread.

sunday June 21st 2009.

Im really bored cause i've had strept throat since friday and i cant skate.:frown: nice way to start summer!

well, the Philly's just lost thier 6th game in a row. if you watched it this afternoon, you would have also heard the announcers say things such as " well, the Philly's have lost 7 out of thier last 8 games in this homestand, and just when you thought they were gonna win, they've messed up every imaginable way" or last night on the news " well, sometimes you lose, and the philly's have been doing it alot" but even with all of this negativity, they're still #1 in thier division! on another note, Ryan Howards Home run last night after coming out of the hospital hours before hand was amazing! but... they still lost. and then Howard was checked back into the hospital after the game with flu like symptoms.

Discuss the Philly's

It's the Philadelphia Phillies.
I wouldn't really worry about them. They have traditionally been a 2nd half team. I am sure they will bounce back and topple the Mets hope of becoming a decent team[AGAIN] while doingit. =D

Also, the dodgers pretty much have won the National League already. :)

[im turning this into inpromptue MLB thread lol]
One team I am suprised about is the Texas Rangers, they have held their own in the AL West. I can't wait to see them and the Angels duke it out the rest of the season.

If they're still #1 in their division, then their division must be really bad. lol

That's besides the fact that the whole NL is no where near as good as the AL because the pitchers have to bat. :p

Go O's! :)

Having pitchers bat actually makes the managers use Strategy instead of just saying "how can I get around this.. OH WAIT NEVERMIND PITCHER DOESN'T BAT." >.<'

Early Season WS:
Dodgers v Red Sox[Sorry Cubs fans].

the announcers and all of thier stupid stats say that the phillys are good every other month:lol: what kinda statement is that??

lol. Well the past few years with this core they have always stunk up the joint then the last couple months "oh guys, let's be amazing k?"

I'm worried about their pitching, they have blown a ridiculous amount of saves already and their starting pitching has given them almost nothing except for Hamels.

^ Again with the whole pitchers really shouldn't be batters. The pitcher does more work in a game than anyone else. Of all they players they should really spend 100% of their time working on perfecting their pitching, not worrying about batting.

yeh, it doesn't look like much, but after 100+ Pitches your arm starts to hurt a bit, lol. and then they expect the pitcher to come out and bat?

I want Raul Ibanez back.

they really need Ibanez back. and howard too.

thier best pitcher is definetly Park. thier best starter is probably hamels. he didn't prove it yesterday though...

Yes, the mets are horribly sucking this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73LjwFX1F4I

Let's see - Beltran, Reyes, Delgado, Putz, Wagner, Pagan, Sheffield, Perez, Maine all on the DL - that's 1/3 the opening day lineup, 2/5 the opening day rotation and our 8th inning setup man all gone due to injuries. Church was also on the DL for awhile. I'm actually really surprised we're still in second place - but that's due to the phils being overrated and the rest of the NL east sucking.
