Hello! So I thought I'd make a report on how my states have gone.
NH
- I played a variation of dusknoir using gallade 4 and Spirit pulse noir.
I went 4-2 missing the top cut which was only top 8 and I was 17th out of 40 something players (there was around 55 I believe to start though. my deck auto lost to a gyrados blissey then to a shuppet mime deck which gave me the run around.
ME
- I wake up and get ready for the drive with Sara,Andy, and Ryan . We get there and all my friends who I told to go were there! even my friend Nate who I just got into the game recently was there we handed in our deck list and get deck checked and then we waited. there was a total of 35 masters which was GREAT that meant a top 8 rather then what looked like a top 4 (People were all around the hotel/back area so my count was way off)
onto the matches!
I went with sp because I had been testing it vs. almost everything and I felt more sound with it.
R1- Jason S. (Dialga/Palkia lock) :metal:
Started with a luxray and a DCE I went first attached and hit for 30 to his active dialga he deafend me countless turns but I bit and trash bolted him for 90% of the game for the win.

R2- Tom C. (Mirror) :lightning:
I basically Took control early game he didn't have a very good start he tried to comeback with a tech aimbipom but I kept an energy on my chomp just in case and It worked out for me. Good game tom it was nice to see/play you again.

R3- Nate S. (Machamp/lux) :fighting:
I made the fatal mistake at the beggining of the tourny and took out my unown G so sara could throw it in her deck. and Im regretting it because one energy and ko to every poke in my deck :\ it was a good game and I tried to come back via top decking a call but no dice.

R4- Josh H. (Kingdra/Lux/Bliss):water:
I started with luxray he started with a horsea.... I attached a dce hit for 40 then he uxied for a few cards laid down a lux and another horsea I sp radar for a bat and cyrus for a L energy sp radar then radar lux X bright look the horsea on bench drop the crobat ko benched horsea then flash impact for the 2nd ko and that was pretty much game . thanks for wishing me good luck and saying I deserved it I appreciate that josh you were a great sport and showed SOTG to the max!

R5- Laura D. (Garchomp/Queen):colorless:
So Her and her boyfriend just started playing during the last cities and she was doing VERY well along with her boyfriend tim and I was afraid to play either of them because they had such good decks. our match was very intense. she took first prize and we went back and fourth with ko's. she laid down an expert belt on a benched chomp.... bright look + retreat + lucario gl + dragon rush = 160 to her Garchomp ftw. great game and great job!

R6- Andy S.(T-Tar):dark:
First let me say that I was very proud of my buddy andy for making it to r6 going 4-1 and his only loss was to a donk and the night before was his first time playing the deck. with that being said he got a Ttar built pretty quick but he misplayed and didnt attach with darkness drive and he then hit my luxray for 90 which I then poketurned away for a garchomp and did 80 then hit him with luxray for 60 with flash impact for the ko and crippled his set up from there on out (didnt use a power till late game) great job andy!

R7- Brennan H. (Gengar/noir)

I had playtested this match up for a week now and I felt prepared to deal with it. even without the use of trainers I still overcame the keystone veil and the gengar switch. I won both matches! they were great games with a great guy! good luck at regionals if your going!

R8- Sara C. (Beedrill) :grass:
To think we didn't have to play eachother until now was just a blessing. Im sure there would have been a fight if we had faced in top 8 but top 4 at least no matter what we both walk away with a trophy. So we set up and I come out pretty slow for sp which was just unlucky. then game two I was able to power spray a flutter wings after knocking out a flutter wings beedrill on the following turn crippling her set up to ensure I had the game. so we both were 1-1. the last match was really bad I used a lookers t2 I had diddly and she had BTS Beedrill claydol kakuna SSU uxie and a benched Weedle (grass energy)/baltoy so I shuffled her hand in to see If I could slow her down... but nope instead she gets the bebes for claydol gets a weedle two candies and flutterings for the band atk one and candies again into that Ebelt and started extremely fast. I love this girl but I sure hate this deck ... :lol:
