Actually, Snowball21, it doesn't have to do with what evolution form the Pokemon is, but how much HP the Pokemon ex has. 150+ has 2 weaknesses, the only 2 exceptions to the rule being Blastoise ex and Blissey ex, I believe.

Which what practically saved it from Flariados>.<

Hmm. Well just figure out a way to beat the Holon engine/Castform decks then.
If you can't do that then play the Holon/Castform decks.
Survival of the fittest.

The opponent isn't going to delta draw with your Mawile on the field. They will start using supporters and setting up to KO the Mawile.

Exactly.

It's not like your opponent is a robot...They are going to have common sense and not delta draw when you are going to push their hand down to 4...

If pushing your opponent's hand down to 4 was such a big deal, feraligatr uf would be popular...It sure is pretty in my binder

They delta draw for 4...you stevens advice for 5...That's the castform counter.

Yes, but they cant set up to KO it, plus, the DO chose what they discard. So its not like the dont discard anything, PLUS they can chose how many they draw, so they dont discard that many, or any at all..Besides..I said ALMOST broken...not broken...

And? It stops them from Delta drawing+supporters doesn't it. It cuts consistancy quite a bit.

I think mawile can surprise your opponent mid-game when you reduce their hand from 15 to 4. It can be powered up in one turn by some of the decks.

Good point. Problem is though, you lose consistency yourself by playing something that is inferior to other starters, and you waste an extra attachment by going for pull away.

this is kind of late, but to all the people saying Shiftry always relies on your opponent

Espeon ex + Shiftry so you chose what you wanna use as long as the pokemon was on their bench. it could be used with like 4 warp point or Umbreon or something.

You actually don't have to "waste the attachment" for Pull Away. All you need is the one energy on there, and Mawile helps you set up, and it still acts as a deterrent. Then, if they Delta Draw or otherwise quickly build a large hand, then you invest the energy. Surely making them drop all those cards would be worth it?

haha very interesting indeed. current shiftry ex decks already play eeveelutions, so that's a good idea, haha.
