I am still confused with your answer to my Prism energy answer.

My Question: Does Prism Energy provide Plasma Energy too? The text reads, "This card is a [C] Energy" and in small font, "If this Energy is attached to a basic energy it provides all energy types, but only one at a time"

Your answer:
"Types" is the key word.
Not "Names". And not "effects".

In this case, only "Name" matters. Prism does not provide the "name" of "Plasma Energy".

I'm still confused... Are you saying that Plasma Energy isn't an energy type? If so then why should :fighting: or :fire: be?

I can understand why DCE wouldn't be considered because it is just 2 :colorless:, so 2:colorless: isn't an energy type, rather 2 of the same energy type.

You have the answer in your own question.
In your question, you are using the symbols for the energy types.
Those are the energy types, cards with those symbols.

If you look, you will find no card that says "attach a Fire energy card".
You will find cards that say "attach a :fire: Energy card"
See the difference?
"Fire" is a name, not a type.
The ":fire:" is the type.

So, for Plasma, it's type is :colorless:
Plasma is its name, not it's type.
