Plasma Storm Card Quality?

Dear People in Power at Pokemon:

Can you please address the issue of print quality? I have just opened my first case of this set, and I have to say that there is zero doubt in my mind that print quality has deteriorated substantially with this set--although it has been slipping since B&W.

1. The corners of cards are no longer smoothly cut--every corner of every card has visible ridges from being punched out of the sheet. (I presume this is why, but I think you know what I mean.)

2. A large proportion of the reverse foils have poor foil finishing--it looks like the foil is incorrectly applied. On some, the foil seems to be scuffed.

3. The cards seem flimsier than ever. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's psychological. But I handle a LOT of Pokemon cards.

These are just the flaws off the top of my head. It's disturbing. Poor print quality will destroy the collectability of the cards.

I know what you mean with this one. I thought it was strange that every card in my DRX box have this.

I will add another comment: we opened another box last night, and it seems the heaviest packs (of which there are only a few) seem to have Holo cards, not necessarily ultra rares. Meaning, it's harder to find the EX's by weighing the packs.

Maybe I'm imagining things, but I'm wondering if it's a side effect (accidental or intentional) of a printing difference.

Hmmm, guess who I wouldn't go to if I wanted to buy packs? LOL. Just kidding. However I think in reality, it's good that you gave that info. Gives people faith that TPCi is making some headway - even if there are some lingering issues in quality.

I'm an engineer, man! I actually don't enjoy the surprise of blindly opening packs. I need to make it interesting by looking for the pack break, comparing the relative weights, etc.

This is by far the WORST quality a set has EVER had. I dislike it. I'd rather have all my foils warp like in Deoxys rather than have the quality of these cards. I noticed it right away, they are way too flimsy, they damage way too easy, and frankly, I'm a bit worried that I'm going to end up destroy cards by shuffling. I hope the next set is better than this, because the quality of the cards in this set is not anywhere close to acceptable.

First we paid more because issue with printing code cards. Now, we are still paying more for the code cards AND for a inferior product. I wouldn't feel so had if the quality of cards were the same but we are honestly paying more and getting less.

I call for price reduction.

I just check ALL of my Plasma set card (all 10 360 of them) and none of them had anything wrong with them. Perfect thickness (compared to a Call of Legends secret rare Lugia), none of them have bent when shuffling and none of mine are flimsy at all. Maybe it's just you guys having the problems because wouldn't have a lot more people posted here if they were having problems too? Or Australia is getting the right end of the stick.

Logic fail. If 10 people on a forum have problems, you can extrapolate that loads more people who aren't posting on forums are seeing the same thing (especially since a lot of buyers are kids), not that these people are the only people noticing issues.

I got an eseries altaria on Saturday and a bw64 drifblim fresh out the blister. Placed both of them face down and the drifblim was not only already bent, but it felt flimsier and the back of the drifblim was much more faded than the much older card.

Glad for you that yours are fine, but at least for me, the quality has definitely gone down.

Do you have any idea how many cases of cards I open?
If I'm imagining this, there is some very powerful psychological effect messing with my mind.

After holding a hand full of my trainer cards from Plasma Storm, I can tell a difference between them. It seems that again, all of the Team Plasma cards feel different then the rest of the non plasma cards from the set.

It also seems that the print run is slightly different on the Plasma cards. I have more or less of each Plasma card within a particular rarity to such an extreme that I doubt it's a statistical anomaly.
