Hi. Me and Techdeck101 will be hosting a Pokegym Playtcg World Championships.

Now here are some rules for the tournament.

1. You must have a Playtcg or skype account.
2. If you lose a game then you are out of the tournament.
3. If you are caught Cheating then you will be disqualified and if you are caught cheating you will lose a Prize card in the next tournament you enter that is run by me and Techdeck101.
4. All decks MUST be HGSS-EP.
5. You may NOT switch decks throughout the tournament.


Regisration starts 8/27/2011 and registration ends 9/7/2011. Round 1 Starts 9/12/2011 And you must finish all games by 9/19/2011.

Donations for money and pokemon related things would be appreciated so the Prize pool can be bigger. If you are going to donate we will PM you our addresses and Paypal account numbers.

Please post here and tell us if you are using Skype or playtcg.

Max number of people that can enter is 150 and Minimum is 36.

added the three of you. Thanks so much everyone and if you could please advertise this tournament in you signature that would be great. That way more people can enter to make the tournament more possible for us.

I have the slightest feeling this will die, so im gonna sit out of this one, especially as there is already one going on.
 
I don't get why people insist on running tournaments RIGHT after someone else opens one up. There was a good 2-3 weeks since the last one started and plenty of time to get this going......Trying to take away someone's thunder is just not cool. You could have at least waiting a week, or until the first round started -_-

Also if either of you have any history in running online tournaments you'll know the larger it is the more likely it will die. As participants incress the length of the tournament (and inbetween round) times incress expodentially!

And if that doesn't work for you we will try to find a different date

This is one of the biggest reasons online tournaments get held up. If you don't hold you end round dates firm the tournament drags on players lose interest and it dies. You'll have to make strick and clear rules in this regard and stick to them!

Before I join I'd like to know if either of you have run a tournament here on pokegym and if so how many of them were completed (links to the thread would be nice)


Finally one last thing I'd like to mention, I wouldn't go ahead and call this the POKEGYM and WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, both are misleading.....Pokegym isnt running the tournament, you are. And these have nothing to do with the world championships. Along these same lines asking for donations to the prize pool is one thing, however asking people to send the donations to you is wrong. They could easily send the prize they donate to the winner themselves....then you wont have any issues if the tournament doesnt end.
